That reminds me... I was meaning to highlight this little passage from RugbyPass, especially for you, @m4l...
From an opinion piece entitled "The 11 players the All Blacks should call upon to bolster their Rugby Championship squad"Scott Barrett
Scott Barrett underwent foot surgery in June, but they reckon he could be good to go by early November, so it will be interesting to see how the All Blacks bring him up to speed in the middle of an arduous Rugby Championship.
He is, of course an automatic selection in any national squad when fit, so move aside, you younger locks. -

They can use Frizell at lock for Bled 1, too. Not ideal, but maybe better than a rookie.
I'd rather play a genuine lock, it's not like Frizell is a vetern like when we did that with Kaino (and it didn't work well with him either). At the very least you are getting some experience into another lock option.

im worried Selby-Rickit isn't too far off, playing well for Southland
Isn't it the rule, assault someone get an AB cap?

@Nepia not if they are a dickhead too!
Too? Doesn't the assault grant them automatic dickhead status?
-
Selby-Rickit and Tom Robinson must be options, and maybe Dunshea. Is Luke Jacobsen playing with consistency of impact yet, or is Robinson the next number 6? Is Ayden Johnstone recovered from injury. They might need another prop besides Ta'avao. Also thought that Telea and Fainga'anuku were head to head for a winger spot. It will be interesting to see who is brought in - and whether any are groomed for fast-tracking their potential in that environment. Personally I believe the purpose of the expanded squad should be just that - with the next RWC developing depth options.
