[Poll] Who would you prefer to win?
-
There are lots of great fans and Rugby people from both countries.
Slight preference for England. Some friends have coached or played with a few of this England team. Also, Eddie Jones make me laugh.
Both squads have worked really hard and improved a lot in recent years. Either would be worthy winners.

Boks. I think this might be their last dance as politics ruins their team.
This breaks my heart.
Because it has every chance of being correct. -

England has scored 10 tries inside the opening five minutes of a Test against Tier-one opposition in 23 matches since 2018.
The next fastest starter is France with five tries in 19 Tests.
New Zealand and South Africa have scored one apiece during that same time.
How often do they get to play Italy..?
Or Scotland.....
Hmm. In our last 21 games we have played NZ twice, SA four times, Australia twice, Ireland 3 times, Wales three times but Italy only twice and Scotland once.
Just saying..

You're not going to be welcome here for much longer if you start throwing stats and facts around willy nilly.

This is a really tough one.
My heart says that I should go for the Boks, because ABE and, also, it would be nice to keep Bill in the SH for the next 3 years. I’d also trust the Jaapies to be less twatty about winning (I’ve already copped a torrent of “bants” from a bunch of football supporting expat Poms who’ve all of the sudden taken an interest in rugby). Similarly, I don’t want England to be cricket and rugby world champs.
On the other hand, it would be good to keep our record as the only team to win 3 tournaments. Also, I would find it really annoying if, after having demolished us, England then lost to this Bok side - it would just prove the point that we completely bottled that semi and should have walked our way to World Cup No 4.

I don't mind the English team. The cliches about them and their supporters are wrong.
However I've always preferred the winner to come from the tri nations countries
I agree with the first part.
When the Springboks play I always support the other team, even the Wallabies. It’s ingrained into my psyche that they are dirty, cheating behemoths that don’t know how to really play the game that’s played in heaven.
They are Collingwood, Arsenal, Perth Wildcats, Dallas Cowboys, Phil Mikkelson all rolled into one....
-
England. Hopefully playing a bit of rugby.

If England wins it will be well-deserved and they would have beaten the big 3 SH teams in consecutive games.
All four Rugby Championship teams in consecutive games.

Bokke.
Think Rassie's done a great job and the Boks in many ways represent what's good about the sport.
If England win, it'll add credence to the Eddie Jones "disrespect the opposition as much as possible" school of management.

Whilst I agree with your first point of view, I struggle to see the second.

I'm the complete opposite, it's England who are that team to me. Conversely the Boks are our old enemy and the team we built our rugby on (obviously all of the above applies when we're actually playing them).
I'm like Mehrts, I hate losing to the English, despite never personally losing to them.
But, I never support the Wallabies, when they play England all I can hope for is a draw.

Well suddenly I am "Supporting" England as I really want @JK to get the collect and also a South African at work has bet me a bottle of red and a full Biltong 'steak' that SA wins.
I couldn't turn that down.
Nice bet to win Hooroo!
What do you give up if the Boks win? -

I'm the same. Boks are traditional foe, the only country who cares as much as we do about rugby.
