Savea, though, looks a likely absence with a knee meniscus problem. Otherwise everyone is available with Todd back on deck after a shoulder issue ruled him out for the semifinal. The team will be named on Wednesday.

The worst part of that article is that Foster still intends to go for the main job. FFS Tenure does not always mean talent, the amount of people who still get promoted based on age (perceived experience) over skill is astounding, NZ rugby better take note.

    Fresh blood please

Sparky's team (assuming Ardie is out hurt) for Bronze Medal match:

Moody, Coles, Laulala, S Whitelock, Tuitupolou, Cane, Todd, Frizzell, Weber, Mo'unga, Ioane, Crotty, Goodhue, Reece, BFA

Coltman, Moli, Ofa T, Retallick, Read, A Smith, B Barrett, SBW

Gives more of the squad game time. Gets the players who finishing up a chance to be on the field at the end.

I was looking at the other 3rd/4th games the ABs have played and they did make quite a few changes from the SF team.

I am expecting BFA and Ioane to be selected.

Shag can't afford to make it a thank you & farewell selection.

All depends on which colour shirt you support.

@MiketheSnow Whatever team is picked by Hansen, the forward pack will need to redeem itself and perform much better at the breakdown.

We'll be fielding Neil Jenkins and a few supporters the number of injuries we've got.

    Is it that bad Mike?
If so, it's a pity for Wales who of the 2 teams, probably have the most to gain from this match. Swansong for Gatland (and Wyn Jones I think?), bronze medal and a first ever victory over the AB's.
Hansen would normally have been tempted to give some of his fringe players a run. But the risk for NZ is that they lose 2 in a row at a RWC (last achieved in 99 I think?) and that they give up their record against Wales.

Welsh fans likely to be the more chilled of the two sets i would think come Friday.

    Yep.

Liam Williams, George North gone in the backs.

Jonathan Davies and Hadleigh Parkes broken but playing.

Not many scoring opportunities if these four aren't firing.

I wouldn't bet on that one, Jones (it's Alan-Wyn, not Wyn-Jones BTW) has already had more swan songs than Sinatra and he keeps coming back for more. Legend or nutter? Bit of both I guess.

Ah. Thank you for pointing that out. I genuinely didn't know.
I consider myself suitably schooled and will administer the requisite uppercuts accordingly.

Just because you Welsh haven't learned to spell properly after all these years.

@Billy-Webb Didn't I say something about school days?

@Billy-Webb Close. Alun-Wyn - with a hyphen. Alun-Wyn being his given name. made more complex by the somewhat confusing Welsh alphabet. U instead of A, LL (being Cl), dd (being f), csi (instead of x). Plus many more I am sure.

Eish.... Third time lucky for me then. Or is it fourth? Or fifth? I will now exit the stage with whatever shred of dignity I still have remaining...

    Often much correlation and causation.
