Really want Aussie to get up for this one Perth-style, think England will be a tough SF opponent (if we beat Ire) if they're high on confidence from winning well.
I just want all our Southern neighbors to beat the UK teams. And of course I think we have a better chance against Aus than England. I'd love to see them pull out a Perth game.
What about Ireland? You didn't mention them.....just the UK teams....π€
Aren't Ireland part of the Uk?
No. They are the republic of Ireland
You appear to have fallen into a sarchasm

Feel like it could be a very busy day for our backrow - Cane needs to get the better of Van der Flop and make sure he can't flop all over our ball. Savea needs to increase his chat and get in Nige's ear before his opposite number, Peter O'Moan-ey. Similarly, Read needs to win the running metres battle over his opposite, CJ Sub-Standard.
What about Sexytoes, Past-his-best, Grindshaw and Ring a Rosey? Surely they get a look in?
I prefer Conor Slurry and Jonny Sexoffender
Sextoy.
Letβs just make it Sex. Keep it simple.

He may allow the game to flow more ,open running rugby will suit us down to the ground obviously,
They want a stop start borefest, but they canβt say that , it sounds too negative and against what is good for the game
Stop start borefest? Was the game in Dublin last November a borefest? Ignoring the outcome of the result, I think any rugby fan would have thought that was a great game to watch.
Jeez - you're on a kiwi site, bud. Unless the game was won by 20+ points with NZ pulling away in second gear, it's never a good game, let alone a great one...
Haha very true. How are you feeling about our chances?
I have NZ 13-20 on at the bookies.

So he wants Owens to ref the breakdown. Does that mean he wants him to stop Ireland trying to slow the ball down on the deck? π€

I know its posturing but it's a bit disrespectful towards one of the top refs in the world

Yeah they do , on the South Africa for 2023 rwc thread Poulsen kept claiming that Ireland was too small and some of the games would have to be held in the Uk - he meant Northern Ireland.
I think the Scots voted against Ireland getting hosting rights too , before this World Cup I would have thought there was probably a good reason . After the events of the past fortnight Iβm going to assume itβs becausd the SRU are fluffybunnies.

Yes they do. I dont know if its official but when I visited Belfast the cabbie I talked rugby with said they do. Are there any northern Irish players in the team?

Fortunately he is also one of the least likely to pay any attention to that sort of bollocks.
Yeah could backfire a little. I don't think the right mind games to be playing with a ref is to criticise him being accurate, friendly and jovial? Not the route I'd go down and I'd hope the ABs wouldn't either.

Just to clarify Ireland the rugby team represent the island of Ireland. Not like soccer where you have two separate countries, the Republic and NI.
Makes things interesting come Olympic 7s.
Means they have an unfair advantage being able to pick the best from two countries ... therefore clear favourites for this QF ...
