More a question than a statement, but you have to wonder whether this win puts the Japanese win over Ireland into perspective. Are the Japanese really that good, or were Ireland (and Scotland) just shit? Or a bit of both?
Weird question. They can only play who’s in front of them, and they played well.
They are clearly in that next rung down, with teams like Scotland and Ireland, Samoa etc.
Nobody has said anything else, they most likely will get pumped by the Boks.

class from our skipper and coach. nice words boys.
What I like about the likes of Shag, Schmidt, Meyer, etc.
Too much soccer-style shit with coaches these days.

So ... we get to go through this shit for another week?
Looking forward to the mind games between Shag and comical Eddie.
I enjoyed his rictus grin trying desperately to look relaxed. Looked like the Joker.

After tonight theres one less of those obnoxious twats in the game now, apparently Krusty teared up in the post match.

Loved Eddie saying post match of the first quarter that he was hoping it would be the ABs he would be facing in the semi.

Many thanks to @Snowy for providing score updates throughout - much appreciated bro.
You have no idea how much I drank today. There would have been no point in even trying to give scores. Everybody I have ever met was hiding from me.

What a wonderful endorsement of just head down and play rugby.
Against a team constantly slowing and whining and whining some more ( at 41-14!), and Owens refereeing the occasion not the game, the way we kept disciplined and shrugged off the setbacks was a source of great pride.
Fantastic performance and hopefully the black machine isn't quite optimally tuned just yet.
Happy, and impressed

Of course they will get pumped. Have you seen that Bok side. They have giant Goliath locks, 150kg mobile props, bodybuilder like loosies, goal kicking genius, and sub 10.5s/100m outside backs.

A few randoms
Its going to be tougher mentally for the next match to play like that. Massive pysch energy gone into that.
Crazy that a forward didnt get the MOM
Read was the MOM.
The scoreline was flattering to Ireland why do refs feel the need to favour the underdog.
The M Todd decision was just wrong
Pleased for Todd getting that try
Laulalas made a big difference
First five was never Beaudens best position, its obvious.
I thought before the game this team was more talented than 2011 or 2015 -

I'm boycotting any MOTM thread - unless I get 23 votes.
You the real MVP

I thought before the game this team was more talented than 2011 or 2015Jesus, that's a massive call - 2015 we had the two best rugby players of all time and at least three other all time great All Blacks!
