Extended highlights with a Brit commentary:

@jegga ...his commentary style had started to wear a bit thin I find. If he can't tell this is a joke and he thinks 'wokeness' is something the average sports fan is looking for in a commentator then I don't see his popularity lasting.
Standard these days. People being put above criticism as they aren't straight white males.
I blame Anika Moa(n).

Storm in a teacup, also when did Scotty Stevenson go full cuck?
About the same time he started earning coin and lost weight?

Will be interesting to see where the coaches go with the mid-field, as you get the feeling they have been wanting the SBW-Goodhue one, but the Crotty-ALB one put out the best performance of the year so far, while the ALB-Goodhue one is the one they would dearly love to work as this will be our combo next year...and then the SBW-Crotty one has numbers on the board.
Crotty has 6 more tests than ALB. Sonny-Bill has 16. Crotty and SBW have started together a mere twelve times. It's not a lot more "numbers on the board" to be honest.
They won't care about next year, so Goodhue won't be picked on that basis.
-
@Chester-Draws you are always so literal.
Is still numbers on the board - it is a combo they know works...and the most used combo of those 4 players
I think they have wanted Goodhue in the 15 for a while now, ALB's form is such that they are re-thinking how they work that, whether ALB is at 12 or push him to 13 and start SBW or Crotty...I know they dont give a shit about 2020 right now, I type 'as' instead of 'and'
-
I think Goodhue did enough to be the starter , but lost a bit of ground through being unavailable , no fault of his ,
But right now , (similar scenario with the wingers ), the inform combo is Crotty ALB with SBW on the bench IMO , and looking at winning games in the now , that is what I would go with.

ALB was the first-choice midfielder before they went to the RWC (according to Fox).
And the healthiest....

I reckon SBW/ALB is the preferred combo with Crotty on the bench

I think Crotty/ALB with SBW on the bench.

I think Crotty/ALB just shades SBW/ALB. Not by much.
I would look for SBW to get long minutes though. Ideally sub for Crotty at half time.
Crotty is better suited to the more structured game you get early on, whereas SBW is better when players tire (and if we're behind is more likely to spark a try if needed desperately).
Not much between them though. Any fan who gets too passionate about it is being a bit silly IMHO.

That tweet from Sumo was so fucking cringe haha. What a hero, a Knight in shining armour coming to defend the honour of the poor helpless women. What a douche.

Crotty has also provided plenty of impact off the bench in the past, and is great insurance if things are going tits up as he can come on and provide a bit of structure particularly on defense. I lean towards SBW starting but only just.

It was the omission of Goodhue that let you down.

Spoilt for choice when it comes to the midfield. Two current Saders, a Christchurch boy, and we all know Sonnyβs best footy was 2010-11

"Taylor said that while the All Blacks don't do specific training drills on how to defend against someone who dives low before contact, they do try to tackle under the ball. "
You'd fucking hope they start looking at it now! Potentially game losing event
Oh they've figured it might be an idea to look into then

I think βwe allβ might be a relatively small group of you, @shark, @Chris, @Cantab79, @Canerbry, that poster FCC who always votes for three Crusaders players in the MoTM awards, etc. Bizzle didnβt even know how to run hard and straight until he got to the Chiefs.
TBF he promptly forgot how to do that when he went to the Blues.
