Todd and Read pretty forgettable. We really missed Cane and Ardie.
Oh yes.
A lot of questions answered I think. I have a nasty 1991 feeling about our selections, but still time to rectify which I hope this was about...

OK we're all wrong, not only was he not shit he was "Magic".
How fucken deep are Khoders pockets ? is he paying Stuff reporters too ?
I didn't know Crucial wrote for Stuff.
Got on the park. Didn't get injured or sent off. Ergo genius.

“Losing BBBR is a big one. Probably one of the two guys i would pick as essential for our RWC chances.
How long does a dislocated shoulder take to heal?”A full dislocated shoulder will rule him out until next year.
However often the press refer to an AC injury as a “dislocated shoulder “.
Looking at him as he left the field I suspect it’s the former.

Was SBW as bad as everyone made out? I watched first half on my phone coming back from the State House Rugby on the train but he didn't look as bad as the comments (obviously not saying he was good ) but will do i full screen rewatch tomorrow..
No-one was as bad as everyone made out. Mass hysteria!
First half a bunch of guys had butter-fingers and killed any chance of momentum. But, many of these guys probably haven't played a game of footy since their teams finished their Super campaigns. Second half, when we started holding onto the ball and develop some cohesion, we were actually pretty good.
Boks were very physical, but a noticeable drop in intensity after 30 minutes. We should really have banked that game - we were the better team in the second half - but it finished a bit like the game in Dunedin a few years back when that Bok halfback scored a try at the death.
I just looked at the tie-breaker fine-print in the rules and it says the team whose star lock goes to hospital with a dislocated shoulder is the loser - which seems quite accurate! By far the worst thing about this game.

He’s not a doctor either.
Obviously he's had a word with the team doctor
The team doctor isn't a doctor either, duh!

I'm shocked that there isn't more discussion about how absolutely pants our starting props were. Moody is still miles away and Franks - from what I can see of the stats, did nothing on attack. Nada. Plus of course he did throw in his two customary missed tackles. We are still one of the very few top teams who get almost nothing out of our props - it's a huge strength of Ireland - and we should face up to it. When the Chiefs beat the Crusaders and went deep, it was the running game of our props that helped get go forward. Where is that?
It's the Franks non performance, and the non discussion about it that is the most puzzling thing to me.

We're all already used to that since he never has.
Although, I guess there was a distinct lack of his zero metre carries

Some seriously ordinary performances though. Hardly hysteria but I'll watch it again and see if if our captain is still worthy? Maybe the short ass to 8? Definitely Cane at 7. I have no clue at 6?
We were f'd in the loose, not convinced on the front row starters, mid field we have the players but don't use them in a combo, ever.
Hoping that the selectors are thinking like I am (or I can just blame them when don't retain the cup).

Scott Robertson also needs to get his priorities straight. Blackadder always had the Crusader ABs humming by test time. No surprise the All Blacks have looked a bit ropey and not peaking at the right time since Robertson has convinced them to give actually care about super rugby.

@Kirwan no one really deserved to win tbf.
Boy, Fozzie got some work to do if he expects to have a job next year...
He should never even have got this job on his Chiefs form. He’s a teflon coated lock-in for 2020 unfortunately.
If we don't win the World Cup??? Fat fuckin' chance.
That's what I'd have said after his Chiefs efforts too... will be very happy to be wrong though!

Reckon they'll keep it tighter in the RWC. I can't see them playing this loose and unstructured. Hope not at least.
I'm willing to give the RM-BB combo another go. This is because we need RM to kick and BB is freaking farking awesome as a fullback. I just hope that first half from RM was an anomaly. He was dreadful.

Hansen's not keen on small backrows - he had that with Richie, Jerry and Rodders - and I'm sure he noticed how much easier his job was when he got Richie, Jerome and Reado.
Definitely a few guys who are just hanging on for RWC, but we had that in 2015 and it worked out OK - we've just got to hope that those guys have three more big games in them.
