SR Final: Crusaders v Jaguares

It's surprising to see Auckland, Waikato Otago fans etc supporting the Crusaders tomorrow night
I;d though local rivalries would supersede everything else in Super Rugby and Club rugby
Pretty much why our international team is so strong, we are country first then club. Some exceptions, but that’s generally true (looking at you Hooroo)

The funny thing about that , if there is a group of supporters least likely to support other Nz teams , it probably is the crusader supporters , north island teams anyway

Not for me.
I support any NZ team over an overseas team. -

This. Country miles before club, esp since club is a franchise that keeps changing it's borders. As a Canes supporter I wasn't unhappy that we lost the semi, as an NZ team is more likely to win if is Saders at home, rather than Canes away, for the final.

@Yeetyaah I'm a Crusaders follower and they've been a rewarding side to follow. But I'll always support the NZ team in finals. I enjoyed the success of the Chiefs when they raised their game, then the Hurricanes and the Highlanders.
If the Jaguares are good enough to win tonight, good on them. I won't be hearbroken if they manage to win. They'll deserve the title. Their achievement in reaching the Final is an accomplishment in itself - if they get the title, it's a big deal .
If they were playing another NZ side, I'd be supporting the Kiwi team.

Between Mr Touchline kicks are easy and Mr Lots a caps and emojis it's difficult to decide who to go for in this game.
Probably have to be the Saders. Will always support a NZ team over a touring national team.
I understand it's convenient to now mention JaGuArEs ArE a TeST sIdE now they've starting winning
Crusaders only have 15 All Blacks in their match day 23 when everyone is healthy plus two soon to be capped ABs in Ennor + Reece
Maybe the Jaguares are playing All Blacks dressed in red......
Twas a joke. With one Super side it's only natural that there will be heaps of Pumas. Unlike that fat nard Phil Kearns I have no problems with the Haguaries. He only had an issue when they started winning.
As to support, it's a no brainer for me to support the Saders. Further on that, I would happily see my Canes finish rock bottom every year if it meant the Allblacks winning forever.

Hey, us Blues fans have already made that deal with the devil
Didn't see any pro RWC wins when we were good, did ya?

Sorry if his has already been asked, but are you a bonefide Falklands invader @Jaguares4real or do you really just like Argentinian rugby? There's certainly a lot to like these days?

Hmmm... I don't know a heck of a lot of saders supporters but most of the Canes supporters I know aren't supporting the crusaders this weekend...

@Bones Is that sour grapes because they feel like they should have won last week? (genuine question)
The result was irrelevant. It’s all down to overpriced and limited food and drink choices at the caketin.
-
@Jaguares4real Yup me too haha. I hope you guys can pull it off as I would never support the Crusaders in a million years despite living in their territory. Should be good fun watching in with my Crusaders mates though haha go the Jaguares!

I don't recall seeing him there...

@taniwharugby How pathetic the theory of bringing the team down who has set the standards. Why not the idea of every team lifting to that level makes for a better product than bringing the leading team down to a lower level
Same mentality aimed at the AB,s by overseas fans of other nations. -

He may not know what the Falklands are. I spent a year living in a town in the south of Argentina close to where some of the action happened. Most of the people there genuinely did not know the name Falklands. The are Las Malvinas.
And in case there is any doubt, Las Malvinas son Argentinas.

Same mentality aimed at the AB,s by overseas fans of other nations. What? How is it bringing the leading team down if a team other than the crusaders wins? OK I'm starting to lean towards the hags now...
