What happens when SBW leaves the field after 20 minutes then Crotty 10 minutes later?
Ardie to 2nd 5/8?
No way. He's too tall.
The pass trajectory is fine. From the ground via halfback to 6'2 BB to 7'2 Ardie.
And imagine if the giraffe was at centre
That's unlike you @ACT-Crusader.
Are you suggesting a Hurricanes backline?Sorry is this the Japan test thread

Ofa is not a Loosehead, should have selected Perry.
Funny how Ta'avao and Ofa have both swapped sides.
I think I might trust Cron on this call.
Not saying it's wrong. Just noting this is the opposite to where they first played together at the Blues/ Auckland

@booboo they wouldn't be expecting Goodhue to see out the full 80 either would they?
Not really sure. Umm ... where did I discuss Goodhue?

@catogrande actually a pretty stroong looking side.
Who's missing apart from a Samoan and the Tongans?

Well, there's the Fijian... Also Curry, Robshaw, Launchbury, Watson, Joseph, all out injured and all likely to have started. Marler retired.
Edit: That sounds like an excuse in the making but not meant as so. The way we've been playing I don't think the injured guys would make a heck of a lot of difference.

If you have a system that relentlessly flogs its players 13 months a year, then you get a load of injuries. Zero sympathy.

@gunner - What happens when SBW leaves the field after 20 minutes then Crotty 10 minutes later?
@booboo - Ardie to 2nd 5/8?So... of the 3 mid-fielders, 2 have reputations of breaking down, and the other is playing first game after an infection which causes one to "run out of gas" very very quickly.
Ardie at 2nd 5/8 suddenly looking like something that might really happen. -
@catogrande yeah, there doesn't seem a huge amount between them and those that have replaced them.

This will be a proper test of how DMac handles 15.
Yes, Ironically. All those games at 15 he played against Sth Africa, Wales, the Wobbles, Argentina. France and Scotland were a walk in the park....

Launchbury is a loss. We have good strength in depth at lock but he's the best of the bunch IMO - Gatland thinks otherwise as he didn't get a look in for the Lions, so what do I know?
Watson has shown he knows the way to the try line at all levels so he'd be a shoo-in, probably at 15 which would make the back three with him, then Daly and May look pretty good. Daly at 15 is just not the same for me.
So those two really would make a difference I reckon but unlikely to have made enough of a difference on Saturday.

Ugh. What a sickeningly talented bloomin team.
Good to see Retallick back in action. You guys missed him in the Rugby Championship (yeah, yeah, I know you still bloody won but still..).
Will be interesting to see how match fit he is. Has he played much since missing TRC? -
-
@catogrande yeah we decided to leave our best loosehead and openside out, plus a fifth of the team are returning from injury or illness. Should be evens.

BRODIE RETALLICK -

Nice.Still... who's covering on the bench? Barrett? That's like going from driving an F1 to pedalling a box car...
Barrett did alright against your mob. True that there's only one BBBR though.

He did indeed. If memory serves, he was instrumental in the final score against us at Loftus. Much to my surprise.
And most international locks will suffer in comparison to BR.
But if barrett come on for BR, my analogy stands -

I'm surprised you're not claiming underdog status.
