According to this article on Stuff, Josh Dickson has signed with Steve Hansen's Toyota Verblitz. It hasn't been announced by the club, yet.

Josh Dickson has been announced as the latest signing for Toyota Verblitz in Japan, the club where Steve Hansen is a coaching consultant.

One solitary test against minnows Japan, along with seven other debutants, in 2018 hardly warrants him being described as an "ex All Blacks Gun"

Ozzie article, gotta big up everything. He was good though, and has been up north, from what I've seen.

Yeah maybe not gun, but I was disappointed he left. Another midfielder that had only just hit his straps and could have been very useful.

@Stargazer had high hopes for him in last yrs NPC. Started at 6 but was replaced by Delany. He was fairly ordinary after looking promising with the Blues

Yeah he had 2-3 very good games for the Blues in 2022 but never kicked on.

He probably just needs to play more. 11 NPC starts in 3 seasons, 3 SR starts in 2 seasons.

@Duluth Yeah his performance against the Highlanders in 2022 at NH stadium made me think we had a real star on our hands. Sadly for him he barely got a run after that.

Him, Evans and a few others make the argument for more super sides; they just cant be hidden away in uncompetitive teams.

I don’t know how to solve the issue, but we have enough talent for more teams.

Or make the argument for providing better incentives to move franchise?

In each of their cases, they might move to sit on the bench. Not sure that argument holds so tight.

@gt12 I'm sure the highlanders would find a use for him....at least better than sitting in the stands?

We are struggling with 5 teams now. And
Plumtree got his chance with Wellington but didn't take it. Some players are either inconsistent. Or only shine in winning teams.

Jack Goodhue au CO jusqu’en 2027 ! - Castres Olympique

2-year contract + option for a third year

Goodhue is a really good player imo. One of the few centres in nz who reads the game. We all know he lacks a bit of speed. But still. Good signing for castres.
