@bones good positive attitude!
Still holding hope for a call up to offer your type of different too 😂
A non kicking, non passing, non running, non tackling fullback slash midfielder has more chance of being called up than Akira.
Shit I've just outed myself as Collins.
You're a great communicator
Racist prick, I'm 3rd gen NZer, I guess I should just go back to where I came from eh?
could you? That would be tops
Uncle dad Yasser says no.

What’s the word on the street NZZP?
Honestly, I haven't been in Auckland since the squad was named. Much head shaking I expect.
You have to think that the cartel have him close, and are murmuring sweet nothigns in his hear. He did just cop a 4 year deal with his brother, so maybe there's light down the tunnel. Better bloody hope sothough - either that, or they are brutally honest about what is needed to undo the coaching damage at the Blues, and want to see it on the paddock for the Maori
-
And what about Reuben O'Neill ?
He is the biggest surprise in this selection, shared with Cameron's.
Next year, when the likes of Hames, Moli, Fidow and even Ross are back, I guess he won't be on the radar again.
However, I think he's had a pretty solid M10 Cup this year, playing soundly on both sides of the scrum. Being selected at the expense of JTA is a real shock though. -

Two for Akira wasn’t it?

@nzzp all you gen y princesses need to toughen up.
Surely there's some tenuous link to the crusaders that has him pencilled into a starting line-up?

@stargazer guess the problem is, when you get a bunch of different posters jumping on at varying times of the day, not reading right back through the entire thread and wanting to have thier 2c worth say on the matter, you will get multiple posts on the topic, but my 2c are no more valid than anyone elses (except @MN5 that guy is stuck in the late 90's when it comes to rugby) so you will always get repetition on a forum.
More 2000s than 90s when it comes to Rugby. 90s when it comes to music though.
Every era when it comes to men's biceps. Drool.
Absolutely. That Bok lock who looks like Bruno is my favourite player of all time. What a hunk....um I mean good player.....

@taniwharugby Yep - I already picked my team!
Though Hansen hinted that BBBR mightn't be fit for Oz, but should be for Japan - so, I reckon he takes Scott Barrett's place and probably pushes a starting lock (Romano) to the bench.
@chris-b said in AB EOYT 2018:
Looking at the balance of this side, I reckon the team to play japan will be pretty close to.
Tu'inukuafe, Coles, Ta'avao, Romano, Tuipolotu, Hemopo, Papali'i, Whitelock, TTT, Mo'unga, Bridge, Laumape, Lienert-Brown, NMS, JBarrett
Res. Perry, Coltman, Lomax, SBarrett, Evans, Hall, McKenzie, Proctor
Back ups in case of last minute injury: Aumua, O'Neill, Hunt, Drummond, Cameron, Havili
who would captain that side - Coles?
out of respect for Japan would be good to see a couple of bigger names in there - Sonny Bill for instance. Throw a couple of rookies into the Bledisloe game.

Sorry if already posted but this is McKendry's 23 for the Japan test
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/rugby/news/article.cfm?c_id=80&objectid=12143287
Possible All Blacks team for test against Japan in Tokyo on November 3 15. Jordie Barrett 14. Nehe Milner-Skudder 13. Anton Lienert-Brown 12. Ngani Laumape 11. George Bridge 10. Damian McKenzie 9. Te Toiroa Tahuroirangi 8. Luke Whitelock 7. Dalton Papalii 6. Jackson Hemopo 5. Patrick Tuipulotu 4. Luke Romano 3. Angus Ta'avao 2. Dane Coles 1. Tim Perry Reserves: Liam Coltman, Tyrel Lomax, Reuben O'Neill, Gareth Evans, Dillon Hunt, Mitchell Drummond, Matt Proctor, David Havili.
-
@kiwimurph I can't really see them going into a test match with Jordie as the back-up 10 - but, that's what McKendry is suggesting. At a minimum, I reckon Cameron on the bench - but, won't surprise me if they leave both McKenzie and Mo'unga in Japan.
They're going to need to leave one of Ofa or Big Karl in Tokyo to cover both sides of the scrum in case of a late injury and I don't see why that guy wouldn't play. It makes more sense to leave Ofa (since they have Nepo Laulala in the 32), but I'd rather see Lomax on the bench than O'Neill - so that suggest leaving big Karl.
I reckon they'll leave one of the top 3 locks as well - and Hansen dropped a hint that it will be BBBR.
-
I'd assume that both Hall and Drummond will get a run with TTT getting a run against the Aussies next time out and then more gametime in Europe otherwise I don't see the point in taking both the Crusaders halfbcks.
-
@african-monkey You need a third halfback in case one goes down in the warm-ups.
I reckon it will be TTT starting and one of Hall or Drummond on the bench.
-
@taniwharugby said in AB EOYT 2018:
@chris-b I think 10 of the main squad will stay in Japan after the Aus game with the newbie-19, with the 10 then following after the Japanese test and the newbie-19 either go home or join up with the Maori.
So 22, rather than a matchday 23 go early to England? Strange number.
In that case, I'd keep the 10.
But, maybe not ..... we do need to actually blood a 4th 10 before the world cup. Hmmmmmm.
Edit. Scratch this musing. I see McKendry agrees with my original hypothesis.

Watching The Breakdown.
Has their researcher added and inch or 2 to Dalton Papalii's height? Panel going on about him as 1.97 PSDT style lock/blindside. He's actually shorter than Kaino, Fafita, Frizzell (two of whom are a actually locks/6s) .
But then some panelists talking about him as the (more accurate) 7/6 hybrid, a new breed etc.
That was a confusing segment

Here's a new one for you:
Jordie Barrett, what the fuck has he done this year?
ooooh good
3/8s of fuck all really. Cost us a test.
And as far as i can see from the Fern, has gone from being the ABs nailed on fullback for the next 10 years (except for the loons who think he's a 12) to being overtaken by some bloke called Jordan in 18 months.
I really hope you choke on that dildo some day. I hope you choke on it and the final thing you see is the Barrett brothers starting an AB test together while your little blonde NZ Schweinsteiger watches from the stands.

Threw that cracker pass to the Boks that half the Fern tried to blame an Ioane for?
Writing "an Ioane" suggests that the other one actually ever gets picked. You wouldn't write "a McKenzie" would you?
