I posted a condensed summary of the Global Release windows a week or so back.
Here is the link to the WR regulations over availability of players.
-
REgulation 9
June window - 3 weekends in June - Unless Council approves otherwise the three weekends in June shall be the second, third and fourth weekends.
November window - 3 weekends in November - Unless Council approves otherwise the three weekends in November shall be the second, third and fourth weekends.
... plus ...
Northern Hemisphere - from the first weekend of February each year and conclude on the third weekend of March.
Southern Hemisphere - commence on the first weekend of August and continue for the next eight consecutive weekends.
.. plus, a whole of other shit... eg:
(Southern Hemisphere) eg: Four Nations Release Period shall operate each year for an eight week period. It shall commence on or around the third weekend in August and shall conclude on or around the first weekend in October each year
Edit - @Bovidae provided same info, much more succinctly. -

Thanks.
So there is this bit.
(b) Southern Hemisphere Release Period
(ii) Unless Council approves otherwise the Southern Hemisphere Release Period shall operate each year. It shall commence on the first weekend of August and continue for the next eight consecutive weekends. Players shall be released prior to the Southern Hemisphere Release Period in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 9.9.
I guess that makes some sense then to me now. Understand more now the silly buggers business Leicester were playing with Toomua and Polota-Nau. Technically legal and attempting to make it not worth the bother.

reasonable looking team, BBBR taking a place off three games, seems they auto vote him there too.
Would have had Pollard ahead of Beauden at 10.

not Sanchez?
-
@antipodean Possibly, but Pollard stood up and performed well against the best team in the world twice so he gets the nod for me.
-
@antipodean I saw another best of team that had Sanchez at 10...
Think it was Karl T, Marx, Franks, Etzebeth, Mostert, du Toit, Pocock, Read, Faf, Sanchez, Crotty, Goodhue, Ioane, Dyanti, Le Roux

@kirwan Hell know. He is not a winger. He needs some space and locked close to the touch line with no where to go he will have little impact.
He's a great finisher, and with his pace he'd be good on the wing. Especially as a Jane like second fullback, where he could join the line and pick his mismatches that he likes.
Watching the reviews of the game, where the gameplan of the Boks was to kick deep to us all the time, I think he would create more than Naholo (and catch more for that matter).

I can't complain about much in that team, other than Bono Cockwomble. WTF do people see in him?
-
@antipodean yeah was my thoughts too...
-
I acknowledge he's awesome at that, but his defence is unbelievably passive for a guy with his build, possibly because he's looking to make turnovers. But you can get turnovers by driving forward in defence. And how often does he manage to make that turnover translate into a counter attacking opportunity? Hardly ever.

The thing for me that while his top end may not like Naholo, he gets to his top speed in the blink of an eye and I find with that and his elusiveness he can put others away with ease.

Especially when Kolisi was all kinds of awesome in the games I watched.
