Aaron Smith has already cost us 8, possibly 10 (if you include the conversion) points.

How can it be that international asst refs can’t see a basic law of the game right in front of them?

I'm stunned by that. There is no special law here right?

    Ref was correct.

You can put a player onside when you knock it on? Are you sure about that one?

    of course:

    Law 10.6

Other than under Law 10.4c, an offside player can be put onside when:

    ...

    b. An onside team-mate of that player moves past the offside player and is within or has re-entered the playing area.

Where does that refer to after a knock on?

Can't wait for Keiran Read to come back.

Dumbest captaincy decision in the history of all sport, ever.

Well the French, other than some good defence, are not really showing much to worry about. So if we continue to improve and wear them out I think we will be fine.

I know he plays for the Blues, but they should throw the ball to the Rieko guy

You are offside if you are in front of a team mate who last played the ball and have not been put onside. He was put onside by being put onside before he played it. I thought so live and it proved to be true on replay.

Will need to look this one up. You can be put into side by a team mate who dropped the ball a second ago?

The Barretts have been very good, and in spite of what others have said, I think Crotty has been very good as well (apart from that one wrong pass). Cane and the Whitelocks get a pass mark, too. The Smiths have let us down.

@rancid-schnitzel It doesn't, but the point is that a player after a knockon is offside because he is in front of a team mate who last played the ball.
