Fair call IMO. Take SBW out of the equation and it is a probable try.
Can someone confirm if that is legal in league? It looked instinctive to me.Yup. You are completely correct. One of the clearest penalty tries there can be. As soon as SBW makes an illegal player you have to ask whether a try would have been scored if SBW wasn't there.
Yup, no different to if a player stops a try being scored with a high tackle. In position legally, but stopped the try with an illegal act. Penalty try.

I don’t think it was a deliberate foul by SBW, it was just a brain explosion. Had he attempted to catch it I don’t think the French would have scored.
SBW is having too many league induced brain explosions.
Is it league induced? Serious question. I don't follow the boofball
Yes. In league you can deliberately knock the ball over the dead ball line.
Cheers. That's what I suspected. Hardly a scenario you get much to retrain your instincts. He looked like he knew the mistake straight after but it was instinctive

Ha ha. Gardiner you are a fucking dickhead.
-
Fucking awful 16 minutes of rugby from the ABs since the break.
-
This is a bit too much like 1999 for my liking...

It's almost as if Steve Hansen has handed the reigns over to one of his assistants (Ian Foster!) at half time.

We can confirm Wayne Barnes is not the TMO.
He would've awarded that.Or given someone a yellow card.

That French 3 points while they had a man in the bin and 27 points behind looks genius now they're back within 14 #crazygame
