Six Nations 2017

I can't fucking believe we lost to Ireland last year. Fuck.
@Pot-Hale you're still one of my favourite posters on here though
-
@Bovidae said in Six Nations 2017:
Can I just say, fuck off Jonathan Davies! NZ weren't even playing in this game and the midget was still having a whinge.
And well done Wales. A big "up yours" from North to his detractors.
I think it's just Welsh people talking normally rather than whinging. It sounds the same.

Just watching thisgame now and it's a great test. Maybe not aesthetically, but it's tough as fuck
Ireland look like a league team, hit ups and bombs. Wales just absorbing pressure and hanging on.
Wayne Barnes has been good.

@Bones Davies mentioned NZ in relation to deliberately not forming rucks (I would have thought Italy was more applicable, but whatever) and then Butler sarcastically told him off. I didn't watch the entire game, just had the TV on in the background. I'm not saying the others weren't just as guilty but I didn't hear them myself.

Watching the 2nd half. Very entertaining, if a little bash and kick.
We could be in a bit of bother if the Lions tests become an arm wrestle. We lose one of Whitelock and Retallick and I'm worried. Home nations forwards are tough as nails and have impressive engines. On the other hand, if it becomes open then it could be a bloodbath. Difference between Sexton et al and Barrett is pretty massive.
-
Well that was a lot of fun in the end. Good to see the midfield click into place again and JJ remind people what he can do with front foot ball. Would be surprised if he isn't lining up at 13 for the Lions come June. Lawes has also gone from 4th choice lock for England to someone who'd be pretty hard to drop, even when Kruis and Robshaw return.
Massive game next weekend against Ireland for a possible back to back grand slam. Sure they will be well up for it with a point to prove after the Welsh game, so it should be a cracking test
-
Always hate it when the press start talking about records....back to back this...never been done before shit
Ireland will be well up for this, nothing to lose, pride to restore after a shitty performance against Wales where they couldn't even cross the line etc...seem to remember it was Ireland who spoiled our party -
Indeed. A few irish players have already talked about bouncing back from a poor performance against Wales (and Scotland). It's not about stopping England as some commentators seem to think. England have already won the Championship.
Besides I don't think Rory Best can do the required O'Connell 'pep talk'.
Farrell's defensive systems are not working and I suspect that England's wide runners are going to have a field day.
I can't see Ireland winning tbh, the only question will be the size of the loss.
-
@Pot-Hale And yet PH it wasn't that long ago that Farrell's defence was being lauded by some. I dunno quite what to make of your guys' performances. Ireland are still a very good side and are more than capable of raining on our parade next week, though I agree for them it will be all about their own performance rather than a "we must stop England" sort of thing.
I'm just hoping for a good match with both sides looking to play rugby - oh fuck it, I can't lie, I just want to win
