@Tim Harry JH is a good prospect but won't figure this year unless there are injuries. Our LH prop depth is really good at the moment, and he's behind Sio and Slipper. Kepu, Alaalatoa and Tupou will be the other three props we take to the RWC.

Staniforth has barely featured for the Tahs this year. No idea why NTA has put him in there.

Oh look, if I wanted to pick what Cheika was going to pick, it would have a lot more Tahs starting. We know that is likely to be the case.

    Purely on Saturday's performance.

The other options for the bench include guys like Simmons (soft in contact, penalty magnet) and Hanigan (as above but also a complete fucking lightweight), the 15 yo beanstalk at the Reds (nope - he's 15), Mat Philip (maybe, but not sure he's more than a hard worker), or Lukhan ChangedHisName from the Reds.

The Brumbies locks are in poor form and / or injured. I don't rate Sam Carter full stop.

Luke Jones, maybe? Can cover blindside as well but is not exactly hitting power. Him or Lukhan might end up with it.

@NTA Sam Carter started his career with a hiss and roar, but I agree, he really hasn’t kicked on to the point where you could say he’s a certainty at test level.

To be fair, he's including about 99% of society on that list so it isn't just an anti-gay tirade.

That is some A grade lunacy in Tasmania though.

I wonder what those beefed-up social media protocols say about tweets/instagram posts like these. And whether the ARU can do anything (and have the guts to do so), if he breaches those protocols.

@Stargazer maybe he wants to shake loose and chase bigger coin after the WC.. but wait, wouldn't that be a tad greedy??

Douche posts imo. Will be very interesting to see if it's another slap on the wrist or something more substantive from Oz rugby.

He got away with it last time. Probably will now too with the RWC on the horizon.

Hubris and arrogance I guess. He had nothing to gain from doing this.

I don't see how this is any different than Pocock's stances previously.

Folau's social media posts are clearly in breech of Rugby Australia and World Rugby's codes of conduct. A fine or a ban is entirely appropriate.

His tone is dreadful and his attitude lacks sympathy and empathy. How are young players who gay going to feel after learning that someone who they might look up to writes drivel like that? Very good player, but it is really sad that he feels the need to keep making public statements that are arrogant, unhelpful and unkind.

@sparky and totally pushing the 'homosexuality is a choice' narrative by how it's lined up with those other 'sins'.

@Dolamite which kind of goes back to general comment that he is an influential figure, whether you go as far to say he's a role model. imo it's disingenuous of him to say he's merely offering his personal opinion.

Don't forget Keven Mealamu and pretty much every player with a Pacific Island background. Seems Folau is just not a good person.
