To be fair, he's including about 99% of society on that list so it isn't just an anti-gay tirade.
That is some A grade lunacy in Tasmania though.
-
@Stargazer maybe he wants to shake loose and chase bigger coin after the WC.. but wait, wouldn't that be a tad greedy??
Douche posts imo. Will be very interesting to see if it's another slap on the wrist or something more substantive from Oz rugby.
-
He got away with it last time. Probably will now too with the RWC on the horizon.
Hubris and arrogance I guess. He had nothing to gain from doing this.
-
Folau's social media posts are clearly in breech of Rugby Australia and World Rugby's codes of conduct. A fine or a ban is entirely appropriate.
His tone is dreadful and his attitude lacks sympathy and empathy. How are young players who gay going to feel after learning that someone who they might look up to writes drivel like that? Very good player, but it is really sad that he feels the need to keep making public statements that are arrogant, unhelpful and unkind.
-
Shame Folau doesnt look across at SBW and see how you can have your beliefs and not be a cnut.
-
And Brad Thorn & Michael Jones.

Don't forget Keven Mealamu and pretty much every player with a Pacific Island background. Seems Folau is just not a good person.
-
@Sneakdefreak I'd say more likely not too smart...dunno if mentioned already, but after his last comments, apparently he had something about social media written into his contract....?
-
@taniwharugby It was mentioned by ozzie media that he had that in his contract, I hope so and I hope RA have the guts to ditch him.
-
@Machpants and isn't Izzy a liar if he'd agreed to those media conditions in his contract? Did he never intend to honour that agreement? Not that I actually know the nuts and bolts of it. But when has lack of details, knowledge or experience ever stopped fern commentary!

Don't disagree with that, but again he's not just going after gay players, he's targeting the lifestyles of pretty much every young player in the game. Basically live a pious life like him or go to hell. The ARU knew he had those beliefs and if they didn't they certainly knew when he "outed" himself 12 months ago and then resigned him for 4 years. If the ARU thinks those beliefs are beyond the pale and should never be made public then they should never have resigned him. But like their equally hypocritical main sponsor Qantas, they put performance over principle.
