@Bones Apparently he's an active and destructive influence in the background. Something to do with a power struggle once the founder of Red Bull (Dietrich Mateschitz) died.

It's well documented that Jos & Horner don't get on. It's hard to see Max staying at Red Bull next year now, given that his relationship with Horner is also quite strained. I base that view on that buddy of mine's brother works at Red Bull and says that there is no way that both Horner & Max can continue together at Red Bull and it's not because of either of them, it's because of Jos. And he thinks that they will choose Horner over Max.

Chris Evans was on the radio saying that it's no co-incidence that Red Bull fell off the pace when Newey left as he was the clear influencer in the car's pace. I'm not 100% sure I agree with that (as I really don't know enough about the upgrades etc) but it's pretty seismic that they've lost the lead in the constructors from where they were.

I didn't see the GP yesterday unfortunatly as it seems like I missed the best one of the year. Did watch qualifying though and the course looked an absolute mare.

Side note, and this is really pathetic on my part, but but I've warmed to Max recently.

First race back after the summer break, they showed all the drivers arriving to the race. There was the usual garb from many wearing outlandish shit, although George Russell was clearly the worst. Looked like an absolute penis.

Max & Carlos Sainz were the winners. Jeans, backpack, team shirt, cap. All business.

Sad, I know, but put them up in my esteem.

@MajorRage he seems to be a bit more relaxed and I did notice yesterday he seemed much more cooperative with other drivers when cornering.

Yes he does come across was a whiny bitch. Not a surprise that he has teamed up with Horner who is cut from the same cloth.

He's ramped it up this weekend. Fucking whinging fluffybunny. Just had a clear run down a straight with two cars pulled over right out of his way and he radios that there's idiots everywhere right in the way.

I didn't used to mind him but he can fuck off and lose the championship.

Yep. Hate wanting anyone to do badly but hope all of the Red Bull and RB drivers shit the bed ( esp Riccardo but he’ll probably win the bloody thing and get a reprieve!).

    @Snowy @Bones

The pressure hes feeling from Norris currently might be getting to him. The whinge factor is increasing and he’s threatening to throw his toys out of the pram.

I'm actually with Max on this one. Which has me in the same camp as the other drivers.

The stewards are getting ahead of themselves here & trying to turn the drivers into robots. Thats not what anybody wants to watch. He said his car performance had been shit & then he gets told he needs to accomplish some work of public interest?

What does that even mean? People want to watch high energy, high octane, exciting racing. They want to see pissed off drivers trash something, want to hear controversial statements.

It's been a great season, but there has been a little bit of a feel of too much control by the overlords IMHO.

Oh I agree that it is overreach by the stewards and is indicative of the way the sport is being pushed at the moment but that does not detract from (IMO) that Verstappen is A. Feeling the pressure and B. A whiny bitch.

My comments re Red Bull were merely because I want Lawson to get a drive, not really related to Max at all, more Riccardo really. If Perez goes too, it opens it all up a bit more (and then there's Max / Jos). Don't know what will happen with Yuki, not much probably.

I suppose Yuki brings money from Japan, just as Perez brings money from Mexico. It also made sense while RB are powered by Honda. When that changes, who knows?

They will either need to give Lawson a drive or let him go. Judging from Ricciardo's body language I think he's done. Off to Indycar next year
