All Blacks vs England I

Officiating team were excellent I thought
Quick, decisive calls which for the most part were correct. Incorrect/marginal calls went for/against both sides
Game flowed well
No cards. Well done players

@booboo England were very good IMO. How many points did they miss from Smith 12?
England were ok.
But I'm picking we were 60-40 better.
Could have lost, and it wouldn't have been a robbery. But we were better and deserved the Dub.

@ACT-Crusader To be fair, no matter his other qualities, he was an absolutely terrible AB head coach whose team was the epitome of soft-as-shite Southern Hemisphere basketball rugby.
And yeah that was 23+ years ago. He’s learned a thing or 3 about test rugby since those soft days

Our best - Scott Barrett, Reece, Taylor - all Cantabrians as it happens.
Taylor was average in that second half. Jordie was very good. Perenara was solid in that first half. Aumua and Newell very good off the bench.
I wonder why some rate Taylor so highly

Am I the only one who thought Christie was alright off the bench? Thought he controlled things and helped us close the game out well.
Just because he doesn't possess Aaron Smith's pass doesn't mean he didn't play well in other areas.
-
Barrett's are class

Overall, but he does have a brain explosion every other game or so and can dither.

Am liking Jamie George.
Nice bloke.
Why can't he be a fluffybunny so I hate him?
To Borthwick's credit he's cut out a lot of the in-yer-face bullshit from Eddie;s reign. They're a better team as a result.

All in all after so much change I’ll take a rusty first up W any day. We’ll only get better from here, especially as certain players get more rugby under their belts.

bring back foster
And we would lose by 30
If Smith had kicked one of two sitters we would have lost.
Can understand the rust, but any game plan was non-existent and the breakdown work was really, really poor. Robertson might need some time to get his feet under the table, but that was a poor first time out. Expected a bit more tactics-wise.
On the plus side, it might just calm down some of the over-blown hype around the man.
Same the other way D Mac timed out on a sitter and missed 2 conversions
-
@African-Monkey Failed to use it from scrum. Got caught at base of ruck. And took ages to pass. Not all his fault but needs to be quicker to make decisions IMO. Not bad at all but room for improvement.
-
Maybe time for Sititi

Not even close. That's a big issue
TJ can fluff around at times but this half he was much better than OK

Great refereeing I thought.
On the whole yeah.
Disagreed with some (first scrum pen Smith missed for example), but think both sides would have had issues.

Razor is explaining tactics and JK has the frown of an elderly person who has never heard of such newfangled things..

He had a couple of very good phases especially in the lead up to that penalty kick (that DMac never took). But too much standing around for my liking.
