Fingers crossed Numia recovers quick.
If he's torn his calf, that doesn't sound like a quick recovery
Yeah that sounds like an injury, not a recovery.

Lomax had to help carry him off. Sad sight indeed, Numia’s had a huge year.

MOTM poll is here - https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/topic/6712/hurricanes-motm-vs-rebels-qf
I went Lakai, Iose and Barrett
Lakai is the Billy Proctor of the forwards, does the hard yard shit that is needed to be successful.
Barrett and Iose were the other two picks for me from where I was sitting.

Numia is done for the campaign. Fk it
Hope it’s not going to rule him out for Pommy tests. Up there with Ofa and form LHs.

Richard Knowler’s stand out players last night:
Standout performers for the Hurricanes included Brayden Iose, whose all-around display earned him a try and significant influence in both attack and defense, and Jordie Barrett, who orchestrated play with his vision and strong offloading game. Peter Lakai and Asafo Aumua were also instrumental, with Lakai's work rate around the field and Aumua's impact in the set pieces and open play proving pivotal.

Just watching now...
Lakai's little pop passes right at the line are great and he just keeps working around the field. I'd pick him at 7 for AB's now and let him grow into it.He’s arguably got the most complete game of any 7 in NZ IMO and will only get better as he matures. Dalton is the best defensive 7 and obviously number 1 but Lakai only being 20 and already playing like he is will put serious pressure on him over the next few years.

Jordie again showed why he's a real contender for AB captain, very matured level-headed player and constantly makes good decisions.

Finally gota chance to watch this game
1st half so far
Cameron just going through the motions again. Canes must convince Godfrey to focus on 1st 5. He's not the biggest 1st like Cameron but one is fired up and keen. The other looks like he would sooner be at home watching on TV
IWL is fired up, again. As is Iose

Yeah Godfrey didn't have the best game but to be fair to him he didn't get much opportunity this year so came into the game pretty cold. Had a better second half once he warmed into things but I agree, he needs to start focusing on 10 next year where he's played most of his rugby this year (Canes Dev and Petone) and gone well.

Jeez I'd like another look at that kick.
Considering the camera isn't exactly right down the line it looks to me that it lands in. Certainly not enough to overturn.
