    @Crazy-Horse

    He kept growing and is probably more suited to 12 now. He’s gone well in the last couple of games at 10 though

    Good under the high ball now too. A very handy utility if that’s what the selectors want/need

    Bloody good at direct running when he's at 12 too, certainly plays bigger than he is.

    Is this where you whip out a horrific missed tackles stat?

    @Bones

    I’m a fan, he’s underrated IMO. One of those guys who had a rough start to pro rugby and it takes a lot to overcome that initial reputation

    @Duluth Didn't help that he got thrown into the deep end when the Blues were at their lowest ebb in 2019. He, along with a fair few of those Blues players had to learn on the go and were put in well before their time.

    Luke Romano even said when he was there that it was hard for the Blues at the time in the 2010s because they were always little kids running around with no guidance, Plummer being one of them.

    A Havili-style selection but more solid, reliable and able to run a backline. It's interesting that a number of Blues players look better this year under Cotter

    I don't want to see Ethan Blackadder or Cullen Grace anywhere near the All Blacks squad this year. Not when there are so many other options in the backrow playing well and looking like they actually give a shit.

    If Ryan (& Robertson) have already made his mind up they're idiots. And they may be (but I hope not). And they may also be unable to pick fairly without a provincial bias. But likewise, I hope not.

    Be like Smith not Deans or Wyllie.

    @Winger Razor brought in so many players who grew up outside the Crusaders region into his Crusaders teams. That already suggests to me he's different from Wylie and Deans.

    They're idiots if they don't pick Lakai. And really hardly any Crusader players should make it unless the team massively improves. It will be a challenge for Robertson and Ryan but I hope they have the maturity and intelligence to do what needs to be done. For the good of NZ rugby

    WE don't want another world cup failure due to poor coaching and especially idiotic selections. I know what it feels like with the Canes in recent years

    Hope so. Its immature behaviour that i hope esp Robertson is above.

    Why would Taylor start against England.

    His first match in 9 months is a test match against England?

    WTF?

    It's possible:

    • Known quantity to Ryan and Robertson, experience starting a Test.

    • Should have more than a few games under his belt before the 1st Test (big "should" caveat with the Crusader's current form)

    • Robertson is likely to be cautious and conservative for his first ever AB Test.

    • Sami T has been good but not set the house on fire, Aumua may poss. be out for a while.

    @DaGrubster If he's fit and had at least a couple of games under his belt, Codie Taylor will feature in the England series.
