All Blacks 2024

I think Harry Plummer's doing enough to challenge for the utility back slot.
In terms of playing style, he seems somewhere between Cruden and Jordie, with a very low error rate. Runs a backline a heck of a lot better than I remember Beauds doing last year.
I'm on board.

@Winger I'd go Ardie Savea as Captain and then Scott, Beauden and Jordie Barrett as the Vice Captains.
Surely Lomax, Aumua, TJ could be Vice captain too
IWL and Billy Procotor too - and what about this Peter Lakai?

Moorby can be the overseas based vice captain, surely need one.

@MN5 I don't rate him as an international player. Decent at Super Level (when in a top side) but I can't remember him doing anything much in the Black Jersey.
There are younger players, with potentially a higher ceiling, who deserve the nod ahead of him.

Finally someone has the courage to speak out

I am 50 mins into the Blues game and I have been having similar thoughts.
Plummer has been the forgotten man in the race to find an AB 10. If my memory serves me well, he came on the scene as a promising 10 and got shovelled out to 12. From an NZ perspective I wouldn't mind seeing more of him at 10 for the Blues.

He kept growing and is probably more suited to 12 now. He’s gone well in the last couple of games at 10 though
Good under the high ball now too. A very handy utility if that’s what the selectors want/need

Bloody good at direct running when he's at 12 too, certainly plays bigger than he is.
Is this where you whip out a horrific missed tackles stat?
-
@Duluth Didn't help that he got thrown into the deep end when the Blues were at their lowest ebb in 2019. He, along with a fair few of those Blues players had to learn on the go and were put in well before their time.
Luke Romano even said when he was there that it was hard for the Blues at the time in the 2010s because they were always little kids running around with no guidance, Plummer being one of them.

A Havili-style selection but more solid, reliable and able to run a backline. It's interesting that a number of Blues players look better this year under Cotter
