Meanwhile in Russia the last couple of days/nights
Must really suck being attacked by another nation..Russia, as part of the USSR, knows all about this. And the resulting deaths and destruction
As well, drones seem to be a cheapish but very effective weapon now.
The total number of deaths during World War II is estimated to be between 60 and 85 million people. The number of deaths by country is as follows:
Countries with the Highest Total Casualties in World War II:
The following countries have the highest estimated World War II casualties: the Soviet Union (20 to 27 million), China (15 to 20 million), Germany (6 to 7.4 million), Poland (5.9 to 6 million), Dutch East Indies/Indonesia (3 to 4 million), Japan (2.5 to 3.1 million), India (2.2 to 3 million), Yugoslavia (1 to 1.7 million), French Indochina (Laos, Cambodia, part of Vietnam) (1 to 2.2 million), and France (600,000)

Another Putin interview
The era of Western elites being able to exploit other nations and other peoples across the world is coming to an end, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an exclusive interview published by Rossiya 1 and RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
The president stated that over the past few centuries, the so-called “golden billion” has grown accustomed to being able to “fill their bellies with human flesh and their pockets with money” as they have been “parasitizing” other peoples in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
”But they must understand that the vampire ball is ending,” Putin said.
He added that the citizens of the aforementioned regions, which have been continuously exploited by the West over the past 500 years, have started to associate Russia’s struggle for sovereignty with “their own aspirations for sovereignty and independent development.”
At the same time, Putin noted that Western elites have a very strong desire to “freeze the current situation” and preserve the “unjust state of affairs in international affairs.”
Previously, in his keynote address to Russia’s Federal Assembly last month, Putin stated that the West, with its “colonial habits” of “igniting national conflicts all over the world,” intends to do everything it can to stall Russia’s development and turn it, as it did Ukraine, into a dying failed state.
”In place of Russia, they want a dependent, withering, dying space, where they can do whatever they want,” he said.
West wants to destroy Russia – Putin
The president followed up on those comments in Wednesday’s interview, stating that many Western elites, who have been “blinded by their Russophobia” were “thrilled” when they were able to push Russia to the point where it had to launch its military offensive in Ukraine in order to end the war unleashed by the West in 2014.
”They were even happy, I think, because they believed that now they would finish us off using a barrage of sanctions, having practically declared a sanctions war against us, and with the help of Western weapons in the hands of Ukrainian nationalists,” said Putin, suggesting that this mindset was behind Western calls to “inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield.”
Now, the West appears to have realized that defeating Russia in this way is not only unlikely, but impossible due to the unity of its people, the fundamental foundations and stability of its economy and the growing potential of its military, the president said.
”Those who are smarter” have now come to the conclusion that it is necessary to change their strategy in relation to Russia, Putin surmised.

Some pretty disturbing stuff online from that terrorist attack on Russia. They were caught trying to escape to Ukraine…
If you believe the Kremlin version of events you’ll believe anything. Engage your brain and ask yourself what does Ukraine have to gain from a terrorist attack on a concert in Moscow? What do they have to lose? There is no way Ukraine is involved. ISIS or possibly a false flag (but even that seems unlikely). Posting in this thread doesn’t mean leaving IQ at the door.

Lots of assumptions going on on this thread about what I think. My post had two points, the disturbing stuff was the videos I saw of the terrorists attack and their subsequent capture and torture. (I missed one guy being made to eat his ear thankfully )
As for the Ukraine link, I equally disbelieve the US and Kremlin’s accounts. I believe that someone paid some lackeys that were happy to kill Russians. Whether that was Russia itself, the CIA or Ukraine nobody knows at this point.
It’s interesting the US had intel about this two weeks before and warned Americans in Moscow to avoid concert halls.
That raised my eyebrows.

Why would the Ukrainians do this? Just use your brain. Their goal is to win the war and liberate their country. How on earth does a terrorist attack on a downtown Moscow theatre in any way advance those aims? Honestly some people are so gullible.

Maybe because they were told to (why would ISIS do it) I'm not saying it is them but the Ukrainians seem to be just following orders.
And do you really believe the Ukrainian leaders are acting in the countries or people's interests. They have destroyed the country and sacrificed many lives. And for what? Money most likely. War is a profitable business. By selling weapons, corrupt leaders stuffing money in their back pocket and then the corporations dividing up the country when it's all over.

ISIS claimed it, posted videos of it on their channels and the videos of the arrested are wearing Isis regalia.
That’s enough for me.
There is a difference between fleeing for Ukraine and Ukraine allowing them in.
Maybe wait until the Russians conclude their investigation. Putin and Russia have no reason to lie and claim Ukraine is involved if they aren't. It's not as if they need an excuse to justify war.
Breaking News: #VladimirPutin has suggested that #Ukraine may have aided the #terrorists responsible for the attack on the #Moscow Concert Hall. According to Putin, all four individuals directly involved in the attack, which resulted in the tragic loss of life, have been captured. He mentioned that the perpetrators were heading towards the Ukrainian border, with intelligence indicating that they were likely being facilitated to enter Ukraine by certain individuals within the country.
Putin emphasized that Russian military, emergency services, and investigators are diligently working to uncover the masterminds behind the terrorist assault. Their focus is on identifying those responsible for providing the attackers with transport, weaponry, and any other support they may have received.

why would ISIS do it
Because Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), who have claimed credit and posted videos, declared Russia a mortal enemy after Putin supported President Bashar al-Assad against them in Syria. They also bombed the St Petersburg metro in 2017 killing 15 people, and the attack in Iran that killed 100 people in Jan of this year.
They have also targeted US interests in Afghanistan and the Middle East - the idea that ISKP is some off-shoot or actor for Ukraine or the evil CIA just doesn't hold water.

The guy who imprisons any one who speaks out against the war in Ukraine, the guy who silences any opposing political rivals..has no reason to lie...
umm how about any opportunity to spread propaganda and lies to excuse their illegal invasion of Ukraine? -
So everything else Russia have claimed is also true
When have I ever said this.
I don't (anymore) see everything based on an ingrained assumption that Russia and Putin (or the Wests promoted enemy) are evil liars. And the West are saint-like and only truth tellers. I wait for the evidence and then try and work it out fairly. As hard as this is.
