I am very one eyed but Cheika really does give off the vibe that the comments get to him - especially the one about Eddie getting one over on him where Cheika said that he was being kicked while he was down etc, etc - he genuinely looked sad. Shag seems to enjoy it the banter, but if we start losing that will quickly change.
-
I like Cheika. He's undoubtedly a good coach and I like the cut of his jib.

He gets asked a lot of asinine shit at press conferences too

I guess he's got a further 3 years to build a team but even next year surely the likes of Genia, Giteau, AAC can't be the spine of it.

It looks a little like the ARU striving for some quick wins in the publicity and profile of the game but I can sympathise with their plight. Players chasing career options off shore is now a fait accompli and that's a difficult thing to address.

To lose someone like Liam Gill or even Mowen before they've fired many shots seems a shame. But I can see the reasons.

Its easy to put the boot in to Aus rugby but there is a defo change in mood from the days of Aus rugby playing their expansive, we'll do it our way that characterised their success previously. I'm talking about their teams admittedly a long time ago with Herbert, Larkham, Roff, George. Back then Aus only really had a team of 15 genuines but their tackling and attacking mindset, clarity of tactics, awareness of weaknesses and fuck you, we'll do it our way attitude really stood out.

Quite a contrast to the latest lineout drive or long kick that seems to characterise the rugby here now.

And the fucking whining....joking

Anyway as always the scoreboard in 9 or so hours will be the determinant of both countries fortunes

Abs to score 3 tries in the last 15 mins -

Yeah - it's easy to dish it out when you're on top.

I'd rather we didn't much engage in these pre-game verbal spats - especially ones that we're provoking.
-
Spying?

"The All Blacks suspected some of their team rooms may have been bugged during last year's World Cup in England but they didn't have the sort of sophisticated equipment they needed to detect any listening devices"

Its not paranoia when they really are out to get you! -

A sophisticated listening device was discovered in the All Blacks' team room in their hotel ahead of tonight's test against the Wallabies.

The device - the sort used by law enforcement and spying agencies - had been planted in a chair in the Sydney hotel where the team have been staying since Sunday, the Herald has learned.

It is unclear whether police will be called in but the hotel has launched its own investigation.

Would be huge if the ARU had anything to do with it.

Not sure what to think really. If our coaching team can't even set up a decent lineout I'm not sure how they pull off a sophisticated surveillance regime.

But still... very strange.
-

But these very players bettered the Crusaders who I assume you think deserve their place in the squad. Some of the Crusaders ABs are fairly ordinary (Dagg is only up to much except in a winning team). Ill be keen to see how Taylor goes tomorrow because last year he was ordinary when he got game time (granted not much and thank god for that).

But its interesting players like both Canes locks were not considered even for the full squad. Shield was excellent at the end but this suddenly doesn't count. And I would like to see Proctor get a run at the next level. Shag is not selecting fairly. And I would be annoyed if a ex Canes coach / supporter did the same thing benefiting the Canes. Its not good. Boyd needs to have a fairly forceful discussion with Shag. Basically to cut the crap and give all players a fair go

You keep spouting the same bias BS, but you arent stating specifically who should be in for who...

Both canes locks, while good are surely behind Tuipulotu, or are you dropping him because he is form the Blues? Bird has been very good in the latter half of the season too.

You talk some absolute shite on here sometimes and deserve people poking fun at your arguments.
-

so you think james marshall who is off overseas should debut for the all blacks at fullback over dagg in an away bledisloe?

taylor is only playing because coles was injured and they wanted to rest him. surely that is obvious.

you think brodie and whitelock, the best locking combination in world rugby don't deserve their places? or tuipolotou who has been excellent every time he has taken the field?

you think shields is better than kaino? you think he is better than dixon who won the super rugby final last year?

proctor? really?

the hurricanes success is based on coles, barrett and perenara. coles is already a 1st choice AB. barrett has jumped cruden to start. perenara has jumped kerr-barlow to the bench. that is great reward for a top season.

as has already been pointed out, the canes have one more AB than they ought to, because julian savea does not deserve to be there on performance.
-

But in all fairness would have NMS starting in if remotely fit.

Also worth noting Hansen took a rookie NMS to the RWC over Dagg and took Savea on an apprenticeship thing on the EOYT, something they've never done, as a way of pre ordaining him for higher ho ours despite being a Hurricane. This hasn't been done for any Crusaders as best I can tell. -

Steve H is under no obligation to select 'fairly'. His job is to put together a team of men who not only have the requisite skills, but complement each other on the park for the game plan they have. This TEAM has to work together, and obviously some combinations and skill sets work far better together than others.

The Canes are my second team, but no way do I feel they should stack the AB's with their players. The shining stars (and not just in one game FFS) have been selected. If players continue to perform, they may get the call up to higher honours.

To say Boyd should have a 'forceful discussion' with Hansen - fuck off. At this point in time, with a couple of World Cups, the world number one spot, a shitload of victories home and away, I reckon the dude knows what he is doing.
-

To be fair, Hansen explained Dagg's omission from the RWC squad by referring to his string of injuries and the fact that he didn't recover from his latest injury setback in time to be ready for selection. If Dagg had been fully fit last year, he might have been in the RWC squad. Not sure whether NMS would have been the one to stay at home in that situation though. They might have left Naholo in NZ. #wewillneverknow
-

Do Hansen & co even talk to Super Rugby coaches about All Black selections? Why would they have any input other than updating Hansen about a players physical and mental fitness at the time selection decisions have to be made?
-
Winger is far and away the best troll on here. You fullas can't help but bite.
