6N England v Ireland

@MajorRage That Irish comms guy and to be honest, most of the Scots comms are just hyperbolic cheerleaders. That wretched Scots woman commentator actually said “Italy are hanging on to Scotlands coat tails” when it was a one score game. I did laugh when 2 minutes later Garbisi was lining up a conversion in front of the posts for the lead. Of course the fucker had to go and miss it.
But still.

Ford = perofeta, without the attack
But can actually kick goals.

@MajorRage is an awful lot of stuff on social.media at present about how the Irish are easily the best side in the world should still have won the RWC but for the draw blah blah blah...
Fuck, we were chokers again and again, Irish just unlucky apparently.
Good win for the English.

I've only watched highlights packages of both games, but the Scots/Eye-ties game... even in the highlights I got the impression the commentators were just cheerleaders for the game... from about the 2nd minute "this is the most awesomest game ever!".
But ... then we complain about certain other commentators "it's like they hate the game".
I actually did wonder... do these guys have a mandate to ACTUALLY cheerlead for the game/sport? -
Cheerleading the game I don't mind, cheerleading a specific team on the other hand.

Jamie Heaslip’s comments that the only way England can win is if Ireland go down to 14 or 13 men has aged like milk.
Comments very much in contrast to those coming out of the actual Irish camp before the game which were all wary and respectful.

Was a toss-up whether I posted Heaslip's or Stringer's comments. Bloody ridiculous comments both - and disrespectful.
Earls and Itoje (particularly on yesterday's form) would walk into the Irish squad and George Martin looks like he could be a really good 'un

Nah, if I've learnt anything during the period 1991-2011 it's that comments by any random supporter are the standard upon which a team should be judged, no matter how hyperbolic or ignorant.
So these fluffybunnies can wear it now.
-
@Catogrande There are a few really idiotic Irish pundits at the moment.
But Andy Farrell's comments during the week and after the game were all class. Huge respect to him. Not his team's day yesterday but they are still a formidable outfit.

Pfft!
I’ve been trying to dig out the Heaslip article which would illustrate better my point but can’t find it. What I will say though is if that had come from an Englishman the cries of English arrogance would still be heard.

@Catogrande …. Since the World Cup.
-
@Catogrande arrogant to believe everyone would remember the English better.
