Cam Roigard must be the first-choice All Blacks Half Back.

The contest is against daylight for second place.

@BerniesCorner I wouldn't say that but Proctor, Love and Lakai should be in contention. Early days yet.

It amazes me where all the talent comes from year after year from a small country.
    The backline:
Roigard, DMac, JB, Higgins, Jordan, Telea, Nareki, Love, Reiko , Jacob RK ...
    Awesome

@sparky the way Fakatava is playing I wouldn't mind Roigard starting with Fakatava's razzle off the bench.

Fakatava is still horribly inconsistent throughout a game. Needs to not turn the ball over so much.

@Bones fair enough, I thought he was epic tonight, he outplayed Dalton for me. He's also one of those guys that are built for test rugby, can play 7 and 8 to a high standard and is only going to get better. Might be too early for him this year but I've got no doubt he will be an AB one day.

@Bones I'd prefer Fakatava to Christie though. Fakatava has the foundations of a very good player, just needs to iron out a few kinks, something I think the ABs coaches can do if they get him into camp.

@Canes4life I'm sure he'll get there but I've not seen anything from him other than hard working SR player. My perception is he's not exactly a hard hitter on either side of the ball.

@Bones hopefully he can grow into that player that hits hard but he has all the other attributes to go all the way. He's still bloody young and impressive for his age.

Lakai? Admit I didn't see much of Canes game today but I'm still waiting to be wowed by Lakai.

    9. Roigard
    10. DMac
    11. Telea

Roigard starting with fakatava on the bench is where I suspect we end up , even if itโ€™s not quite ready yet .

    He's still only 21.

Maybe the main issue for him is where to focus. I would say 7 where he could be a future AB great. Whereas 8 he is (maybe) a bit small for an international 8 today.

IWL especially if he keeps playing like he has the first three weeks

I would also rate Lakai above Papalii. And no Reece. He's leaving but also time to move on from him (I may change my mind next week though)
