Was at 2015 WC final this game is on another level

    Best game since 2000 Bledisloe?

There can’t be many better performances by a losing side than that by Ireland.

Penalty try call was utter bullshit.

    It was spot on

yeah, textbook, Codie dragging the maul down with him. Lineout steal nearly came off, though.

Commend Barnes for seeing through Porter clearly stepping out and driving in and penalising him for it. NZ set piece was brilliant.

The best bit was watching that Irish attack capitulate to just 3 guys and through the hands in the last 15. We fucked up JGP

Sexton looked out on his feet. No wrap arounds to create the extra man in attack.

I’m so impressed that we made it through that game. Holy shit, two YC, a penalty try, and the ref put his whistle away for the last 5. Brilliant.

    Edit, Sam Whitelock you beauty.

    Foster looks orgasmic...

Hah I thought he just looked like he'd climbed a mountain after 72 hours awake

    OK. Post-orgasmic then..

Moment for me was us scoring first after half time and Richie's break, and the absolute last minute timing of his pass to Jordan

We won because we took all our chances, bar one. Ireland backed themselves into a corner by not taking their threes. Very Un-Ireland like. But we had them on the back foot the entire match so the start was crucial. I can't believe I'm saying this but well done Foz.

Nice little bit of redemption for the lions...or was it the semi?

Seeing us in the semi-final again is a blast, but it's almost as good seeing Ireland with all these Kiwis and an English coach, miss out on the win record, hahaha.
What a great night, first Wales, then Ireland knocked off by teams that love to play rugby.

I didn't have a problem with that. I did have a problem with the utter inconsistency from Branes around the ruck.

I don't care if he's a good communicator, he's a shit ref who predictably swallowed his whistle in the final minutes until Whitelock the Great forced him into making a call.

I’m honestly not sure what part I’m enjoying more, us winning, or sending Sexton and O’Mahoney home.

    Fucking brilliant.

    @BerniesCorner

I’d rank Pretoria 1996, Sydney 2000 and the France-Australia 1987 semi final a bit higher, but yeah one of the great games of Rugby.

Barnes was great. Raynal would have killed us and Jack O'Peyper would have ignored the breakdown

Plus he called the Irish prop for boring in 3 times.

A clear miss was Irish prop picking ball up while under Scott Barrett’s foot at the back of the ruck

@kev yeah that was bizarre but it's the Irish way. All on the same page, same as their obstruction. Fox the ref

I think Whitelock now has the record of most RWC games and he has two more to add to his total. Will be hard to beat.
