RWC QF: All Blacks v Ireland

Ireland's defence is incredible.
8 points conceded vs Boks. nothing conceded vs Scotland until the contest was over.
I'd have Mo'unga and Beauden practicing drop goals all week.
Let's George Ford them.
Keep the scoreboard ticking over.
it's good, but the Bok numbers are misleading, they left heaps of points out there

See, it’s with cliches like this that we are destined to win.
We will only keep the scoreboard ticking over if we play what’s in front of us…
😎

@ACT-Crusader dont want it to be a game of 2 halves, unless Ireland are good in the 1st and we are gooder in the 2nd...
Also missed full credit, do they still have ladies in the kitchen?
-
lets just hope the ladies in the kitchen are good to us this world cup
-
@mariner4life true, probably not been helping since Suzie left the fishcakes on the windowsill over night!

@nostrildamus who is left from 2015? Retallick, Whitelock, Smith, Taylor, Coles, BB, SB?
Cane of course, and JB. I count 9. Just one.No SB or JB in 2015.
Just Coles, Taylor, Whitelock, Retallick, Cane, Smith, B. Barrett

Yeah definitely. Yeah nah

Need to play the full 80 minutes, but also important to score first, as well as just before and after half-time
I'd also have a good think about winning the collisions and being solid at set-piece
Really we just need no more learnings cos we've learnt them already

Eh? You're right. I seem to have lost the ability to read. Learnings from the Fern, I guess.
-
ABs have had so many "learnings" you'd expect a 30-point victory! I know I harp on but it is the exits from the 22 that are going to be crucial. Last night in the Japan and Argies game, it was on the edge for both teams until a "BB-like shit kick" by Japan led to an Argie try and swung the momentum of the game. I will die a little on the inside when (not if...it is every game these days) this happens in the QF.

The most important position in a Rugby team is Tighthead Prop. The second most important position in a Rugby team is backup Tighthead Prop. Losing Tyrell Lomax for a World Cup knockout would be a massive blow for the All Blacks.
Foster calls BS. Winger and reserve winger are the
twoseven most important positionsFIFY

@Old-Samurai-Jack maybe thats the problem, too many learnings and the messages getting confused.

Anyone expecting Paps to start over Cane is absolutely deluded
Leave a certain Blues superfan alone!

I did say "expects" not "wants" - surely even Tim isn't expecting Foster to make that change!
-
I think that's only likely if they believe Sam is still short a run.
-
@mariner4life said in All Blacks 2023:
I actually this has enormous merit. Bringing the super experienced Sam's on to finish when the whips are cracking.
Exactly
Every good performance in the last few years has been us having a good burst in the first half. We are decent front runners
When the game gets into an arm wrestle? This side has been abysmal. It's about mitigating that by picking bench players than can close out a match.
Whitelock v Retallick is a close call but they've settled on Whitelock being a finisher for the same reason

It's the same selection as the last time the top side was selected
No, they picked Cane initially and he got hurt just prior - edit - sorry, you're talking Italy not France? Not 100% then.
