@taniwharugby Yep fair enough, perhaps it pretty unusual to have incoming coach appointed before WC and I was just working off Rennie saying he thought it would be no point in him being at 2019 WC. He may of had constraints too anyway.

@Kirwan I doubt Marshall needed anyone to ask him to release anything, its clear he sees fault in the current set up and saw an opportunity to stir shit up

Or it's Justin who likes to stir things up anyway.

And this sort of crap is why you don't pick a coach before the end of another's tenure.

Obvious he shouldn't be floating around the current setup, and no need to be at the games either. Start getting organised and stop moaning to your mates about ole meany Foster.

Rubbish. Can you imagine the shit storm that would be surrounding the question of who will coach next year after a record loss on the eve of the rwc followed by our first ever pool loss? Razor break dancing in the middle of the dressing room before the game would be a minuscule distraction compared to that circus.

Foster already used the distraction card when his original contract got extended early. The following two years have been a disaster.

Not being at trainings and in the sheds is 100% reasonable. Not being allowed in the stadium Far from the players to watch would be pretty ridiculous and petty. Are our management and players really that mentally fragile that it would cause issues? Maybe they are.

Though to be fair appointing a coach early is causing distractions as proved by these posts.

@Dan54 Distractions to whom? I haven't seen any proof of players being distracted. These posts proof nothing but paying too much attention to something said by Marshall.

Well it's certainly distracting plenty here mate. Don't get me wrong, I not against Razor being appointed , or being in France, but I agree he should steer clear of team etc (he said the same) but by press and some posters saying Foster is behind it all surely just causes even more angst. Now if he wasn't appointed until after it wouldn't be an issue or distraction. And I repeat I not against him being appointed early just pointing out what is happening right on the thread!

The most important position in a Rugby team is Tighthead Prop. The second most important position in a Rugby team is backup Tighthead Prop. Losing Tyrell Lomax for a World Cup knockout would be a massive blow for the All Blacks.

Not sure if it means anything but Joe Moody has been scratched from tonight’s QF.

@chchfanatic I know you’ve always been 💯 accurate with your oil , if a directive has come via NZ Rugby you can guarantee Foster is pulling strings in the background .

However, I do find it weird that Foster had to say it and / or that Razor had to be told - does not reflect well on either of them in my view.

Did either of them say it or is it just bollocks? Foster doesn't come across as precious and Robertson had made his non-interaction with the ABs clear yonks ago.

Asking Razor to stay away from games in stadiums with tens of thousands of other people is such an odd request that Foster himself could admit to it during a press conference and I wouldn't believe it. Sounds an awful lot like 2 + 2 = 500

our coach says almost this all the time

"first name on the teams list is tighthead...second name is reserve tighthead..."

Might've even been true when they had more than a handful of scrums per game

Foster calls BS. Winger and reserve winger are the two most important positions

@Machpants in the modern game, hooker is probably key to ensure he hits his targets
