Not being invited to attend trainings etc makes perfect sense. Anyone whining about that is an idiot.
If he's been told not attend AB games as a spectator then NZR are the idiots.
TBH, maybe he should attend AB trainings, he might get more out of Mo'unga than the current lot can. I look forward to next year when he coaches Mo'unga, oh wait ...

I'm almost certain it was confirmed when Razor was appointed that Razor would be attending the RWC but steering clear of ABs.
Reminds me of when Marshy was commentating the ABs and was flabbergasted that Naholo came on at 13 despite the AB press conference that week confirming Naholo was covering 13....
This sounds like Marshy trying to act as if he is 'breaking news'.

I think the right word might be "asked" not to attend (open) trainings and ABs games, not "barred" from.
Not go to trainings? Sure. Not attend the games as a private citizen? That demonstrates a weak spirit if Fozz or the ABs asked that of him
-
Perhaps controversial, but not sure it is that big a deal. Unwanted distraction... Imagine if the camera panned to Razor during that first game, and then a bunch of needless media headlines came out of it, with Fozzy looking glum in the box.
There are many issues with the current All Blacks set-up, but something that doesn't seem to be an issue it morale. Looks a tight-knit group, and I think the players do genuinely like Foster. No need for distractions.
At the time it was bemoaned appointing the ABs coach so early, but isn't it funny how quiet things have gone on that front? It is decided, no distraction there.

the word "if" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this sentence

This is all true. He’s been back in chch for over a week now. He went over to attend a couple of functions and observe a couple of other teams. Not allowed to attend abs games. I get the training situation. It all seems a little petty from foster.

I couldn't confirm or deny that the interaction happened, hence the "if". It would appear that Chch fanatic has done that for me. Weak as piss from NZR and Foster

If he told to keep distance from trainings it would be more than reasonable, if he's been told to keep cleard of games (which I doubt) it would be NZR .

Knowing ChCh fanatics source I don’t doubt anything he says.
Mate, I not suggesting he BSing or anything, but I doubt whether Foster stopped him going to games regardless.
I would suggest that as part of new contract he was told to give them space, and Razor actually said when getting job he would be steering well clear of being involved with players once Super had finished. As he should too. -
@Chris yep seems much ado about nothing, especially if Razor is in NZ just sounds like Meg stirring.
That said, I do wonder if any players do have a relationship with thier npc/super/int coach that they may talk to about parts of thier game they have been working on, outside the team they are in at the time.

considering all the hot takes from the ChCh mafia over the past couple of years that haven't come close to being true, i'm taking it with a hard grain of salt
Seems everyone down there knows someone
Someone who is feeding them porkie pies

I am sure that happens players bond with coaches for number of reasons , if it is a good relationship it normally lasts a lifetime.
-
I'm more interested in if Marshall is barred from approaching players after the game while drinking.
-
I thought the importance of continuity was one of the positives of choosing Foster in the first place? And the jersey is bigger than anyone in it? And they already had an external coach in Hansen come in.
Robertson being involved from the time he was annointed might have made sense. Starting involvement at trainings at the WC doesn't. Nor does asking him not to go and watch the games.
