Lol Scott Barrett is perhaps the dumbest fluffybunny to ever pull on a black jersey.

He got tackled into half back. The clean out was aggressive not dirty. Unlucky. He is the best forward by a mile.

Ok, the game meant a helluva a lot more to the Boks than our boys and they have been in Europe for much longer. One of those games under Foster and there have been a few where the All Blacks looked hideously under-prepared for some reason.

Flush the toilet and move on. The real business starts in two weeks time when there is a lot more at stake than the Qatar Airways Cup. A lot to work to on ahead of France. Go Black!

    While true, its still unacceptable.

They went there to cash in with an exhibition doubling up as a RWC warm up. They put on an exhibition of pure scutter and succumbed to their biggest ever defeat. To a team with a debutant (at centre) a rookie ten and Kolisi coming back off serious injury. They slapped them around.

And a couple of our usual suspects have reverted to type.

This batch (under this coach) are creating all sorts of negative records.

The crest on the front is bigger than any name on the back.

@kev There have been lots of cards in the last four or five Six Nations. Ireland and France will be used to it.

@kev SB's cleanout wasn't too different to Perth, and we know how that ended up.

Imagine the circus currently if NZR had decided to hold off on the coach decision until after the World Cup.

    Thank fuck that's settled.

@Steve True, indeed. This was a silver lake sponsored money game. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m glad I never considered going and usually when the ABs are in town I’m automatically a couple hundy out of pocket.

A few of our squad have been under utilised in the run up to this RWC.

DMAC, Roigard, Jacobsen, Fainga'anuku for example.

When they finally get called upon we could be in deep water.

You can’t have it both ways. We want guys hitting rucks and clearing bodies. He is our best by a long way. Sure he got it wrong because he had moved to side. But wasn’t dirty. He is the best NZ forward.

One consequence of today. Unless Foster wins the World Cup, I can’t see him getting the big European pay day for his next gig that he’s hoping for. It will be a consultancy in Japan or another Super Rugby job at best.

I'm watching delayed. It's half time.

If thr Barretts weren't good at rugby, they would be concreters. They are dumb as fuck.

Jordie? Dumb. Scott? Worse than dumb

This first half is showing a lot of players reverting to 2022 deadshit level

@Wurzel I think Wayne Smith will be informing his wife tomorrow that they’re taking a holiday in Lyon that he hadn’t told her about yet.

In the first half I could at least see a hint of a silver lining with our grit in defence to hang in there

That Arendse grub put a cheap hit on Roigard as he scored the try.

Without reading what everyone else has said:

Turned up to a pub in Malaga after ~10 minutes had already been played.

ABs slow to respond to refereeing the defensive side. Putting themselves under unnecessary pressure gifting the SAs opportunities. Jacobson clearly not a blindside's arsehole at Test level.

Ridiculous interpretation to gift a red card for Scott's cleanout at the ruck.

Too many loose passes without looking hurt us. To compound this our set piece looked remarkably dreadful.

Ultimately from the perspective of a supporter surrounded by Irish, Australian and South African supporters; this was an astonishing failure. The only saving grace is that we've a fortnight to address the glaring issues, namely:

    1. Inability to defend without giving up penalties.
    2. Weakness at the set-piece, especially the lineout.
    3. Passing without looking.

I don't see this as the fixture that permits us to win a fourth WC, but it may be enough to permit us to get beyond a quarter final.
