Taine Plumtree was on the winning side and join the long-list of Kiwi Welsh internationals.
Born in Wales

I hope the dire anything goes refereeing in this match is not seen in RWC. Zero policing of offsides obstruction and highshots. Players were taking the mickey in getting ahead of the kicker...
Can't see point in England playing a third xv in this match. The Welsh loosies were so dominant the English barely put up a fight. Will be hard for Borthwick to select his squad now.
Nic Berry MOTM
Would have him reffing every week
Light years better than Hometown Ben
-
Started enjoying my adult beverages at about the 45 min mark
Comfortable in the end
England bereftDombrandt has gone backwards at a rate of knots
Smith likewise
We were fit, well coached, well disciplined (see fitness and coaching)
Rather be us than England
-
Oh and if Darcy’s try was a try, then LRZ’s should have been too
Consistency ffs -

Yeah it was pretty odd to play a warm up match with a bunch of guys who might play the minnows but a number who won't even do that.

I see a lot of English "supporters" bemoaning the change in coaches and this performance, but I feel that England played with some expanse and enterprise, they just lacked accuracy, especially in the 22. Score could easily have been much closer.
-
Yes handling errors in the first half when we had some ball and a bit of ascendancy cost us, but come the end we looked bereft of of a plan or even any ideas. Wales deserved winners.
-
@MiketheSnow next week will be interesting in the return fixture just to see how both coaches approach the game.
Wales need to keep Jac Morgan & Wainwright out of the firing line now - both superb yesterday. -
To hold any international team to no tries in this day & age is a bloody good effort

Consistency ffsThe reviewing of that was farcical. TMO saying “no separation” and “try”. Berry, watching the same replay can see clear separation and asks her to review it. “Yes. Clear separation “. She was useless.
Right decision in the end but only because Berry had the balls to call out the TMO.

Multiply 75,000 by 30 quid and you'll have your answer
And the money spent in the city
Great atmosphere around town
-
@MiketheSnow How many games has Marcus Smith played in his career when his lot never crossed over?

Not many I'm guessing

A couple of million well spent just to see Smith cry.

I have pondered much on the game. Plans, patterns, selection etc and also the wider squad and further back to the 6N and Leicester's winning season and my pessimistic conclusion is this:
England will fall back on "experience", and percentages in re the side who kicks more, wins more. We will pick guys who have been great servants to England in the past but are long past their sell by date. We will kick poorly and chase even worse. We will get out of our group and most likely be bundled out at the QF but dependent upon who we get, could make the SF. We will play dull rugby, we will be indisciplined and we will make no friends.
No. I am not drunk.
-
I don’t think you’re far wrong
But if England do make a SF then that’s a big achievement for Borthwick
-
Looking at it short term, I sort of agree with you, in that if we made the SF it would be above immediate expectations. However, in truth, with our resources, a SF place should be a minimum. We have so much going for us, numbers, funding, support, but we seem to have this handbrake applied about 80% of the time and an acceptance that this is ok and “the done thing” 90% of the time. It ceased to be amusing some years ago.
