@ACT-Crusader Might be a big difference between a hard JoBurg track last year and a heavy Mt Smart ground this year.
I was hearing it should be a dry deck and decent weather for Auckland tomorrow.
At our Mt. Smart fortress, where we have never lost!
I fear we will lose at least two records there tomorrow, though.
The opposition will score points against us.
They will keep us to less than 100.

Weather over the last few days has been mostly fine, windy and cool. Lots of cloud and a few showers around, but no significant rain is forecast. But this is Auckland in 2023 we are talking about, rain is never far away

Wtf is going on ABs social media this year.
Last year/previous years they used to have interviews with Foz/players when the team was named, they used to post press conferences and they used to have 'In The Sheds' videos after the game and now all of that has been canned.
Talk about bare mininum.
IIRC, people were arguing last year there was too much of this sort of stuff, it was distracting, showed a lack of focus and a symptom of a poor culture.
Maybe they've done some thinking and made some changes.
nope, not how i remember it at all, i remember being happy about the odd glance into the minds making decisions
I don't have a problem with it either, so yeah. There were 1-2 articles I read querying if it was a good thing, overdone or distracting. (There were also a few comments on here criticising haircuts, dress-sense, attitude etc but that's a bit different.)
Good mindset in Mendoza I thought.

@KiwiMurph yeah even the bestbdrained grounds are up against it this season with the daily rainfall.

I mentioned press conferences, interviews with Fozzie and the post game 'in the sheds' videos. In other words, access to the fans.
I would imagine those 1-2 articles you mention weren't querying if they specifically were good things? I assume those articles were talking about the wider social media presence?

Ardie was active in attack.
He played a very different game in Mendoza - much tighter. Wonder if that was a tactic for that game or an overall change in forward tactics.
-
I recall it wasn't the principle of access to the fans, it was the style and how much of it there was - inc social media.

So news comes out today about McCaw meeting with the ABs leadership in January and McCaw was at the captain's run today - meanwhile ABs all wear black boots all of a sudden.
Coincidence? I think not.

@voodoo maybe we could agree not to pressure your lineout if you’ll agree not to engage in any of this tactical kicking nonsense. can someone remind what the fern’s view on pacts is?
As long as it isn't the French making the pact (aka deal), all good

The ground tore up badly when the Warriors played on it 2 weeks ago
The Warriors are playing on there less than 24 h later.
The ground looked OK at the captains run today (Newshub footage).
