No, it's just in context with the rest of the thread.
Cully made a retarded half argument using stats that conveniently left out one of his favourite players. I pointed that out using the same stats.
Some people then started talking about people relying only on stats.. which is a strawman because no does that, even a simpleton like CullyDidn't Cully in his article only focus on No 8 though before he hit his word limit? From memory (and I'm not going to check) he was talking about Hoskins and compared others at 8?
-
Sure. He did make a general statement about all AB forwards too.
It'd be an interesting argument to drop an number 8 for that reason and not drop a blindside for being even worse
But more importantly he's a twat

You can squeeze a bit of information out of the official match packs
For instance the Final Match Pack has the overall stats plus team breakdowns for the Chiefs and Crusaders. If you are, for instance, looking up a specific Highlander you have to use the match pack from the Highlanders last game
I wasn't aware these existed until they turned up in a google search recently
-
The formatting, the black "torn" second on the bottom wasn't used last year....so not just an old post but an actual mistake if they are last years figures

The numbers are quite low.. I worked it out. It was the numbers at the end of round four
Sotutu was the form No. 8 pre Easter. Had better of Jacobson in the April encounter. Can't remember when his 'All Black' rest was taken.
-
I checked that too. It was Hamish McKay. He was just making the point that Sotutu is a good player and he predicts he will be back next year. He compared him to Zinzan in the early 90's
I don't think he was being deliberately misleading with the image

If you ask a Saffer why they rated Reado so highly, it wasn't because of his hard shoulders! There needs to be some variety.
But he did have hard shoulders. Friggen smashed people at times.

You completely missed the point. Hard shoulders are a dime a dozen in in SA. It was Reado’s passing and linking which set him apart.

I think those stats are sometimes unfair to certain players. Obviously Akira is being asked to play wider, so doesn't have the opportunity to get those high tackle stats that loosies playing a much tighter game get.
I think he looks great when he plays a tight game, but I wonder if he doesn't like to do that or is being told to play a wider game? He definitely has the power to drive guys back in close. -
Hoskins is only 24 with an exceptional skill set ,
He is young enough to come back from this , it’s all up to him and how much he wants it
-
@kiwiinmelb ... and who he's competing with.

Nah, got that. Was just pointing out his especially "hard shoulders" Think I just wanted to use the new buzzword....
