@Chris-B Personally I don’t think the Blues will ever get a better chance to beat the Crusaders in Christchurch when you look at the list of players that the Saders are missing
It say one hell of a lot about this franchise that they are going in as overwhelmingly favourites

    Joe Moody
    Finally Brewis
    George Bower
    Fletcher Newall
    Sam Whitelock
    Callum Grace
    Ethan Blackadder
    David Havilli
    Sevu Reece

Everyone of those names would be in the 15-23 if available, that’s crazy
It’s definitely evens up the away advantage the Blues are definitely a chance no question
Actually looking forward to this game

@Steven-Harris I think that is a mistake. Never ever look at who is missing from team, and look who is there, and you see a fairly reasonable team.

@Dan54 it’s fair to say if the saders had all the front available , that’s gives them massive depth across the 23 and Reece and Havilli who has been a standout in 2023 would have given them X factor and midfielder that’s in form
At the end of the day it’s still gonna take a hell of an effort to knock the saders off but given their disposition in and around injuries and the solid Blues earlier round robin performance despite going down
They have got to rate themselves

@Steven-Harris yep and wasn't a criticsm of your post or anything either mate, just evey team I coached etc, I would say don't let who is injured in opposition make you think the game is easier etc, recipe for disaster.

@Steven-Harris Certainly won't be surprised if we get beaten.

You have to make a couple of odd positional selections with props in the backline, 🙂 but here's the Crusaders Unavailable XV

    Moody, Bell, Newell
    Whitelock, Gallagher
    Dunshea, Blackadder, Grace
    Hotham, Kemara
    Havili, Brewis
    Reece, Springer, Bower

Better to reconcile with the fact, than be shocked at 7 pm. I can't even remove the commentary now!

I could be wrong but it seems to be written into his Sky contract.

ARs: Ben O’Keeffe & James Doleman
    TMO: Brett Cronan

Let's hope Cronan doesn't miss any obvious knock-ons again.

Whitelock and Blackadder are big losses for the Crusader's but I still think they'll get through. Blues forwards aren't quite there yet to force the result.

I'm amazed to see the line "injury ravaged Crusaders team" and still see Goodhue on the team sheet however.

I'm picking a boil over tonight, I think the Blues will get the job done somehow.

The Crusaders without Whitelock in the playoffs are there for the taking. They always go down a cog when he's not on the field and I think with the injury toll to the Crusaders, it might just be the Blues night.

But I also wouldn't put my money on the Crusaders losing so what do I know.

I’m so looking forward to this game. We have a shot, we are a good team and well coached these days. Winning away in Christchurch is not easy, and there is an obvious mental hurdle that all teams need against them to cross to get a win.

We also have injuries, having two in one position which is also the main area that the Crusaders will attack is not great. Hopefully Coventry has simple solutions that can be implemented under the blowtorch that’s coming.

    Proper battle coming, can’t wait.

@Kirwan I with you as a neutral!! Add to that while in Wellington last weekend , I attended the Garage Project brewery and bought a selection of beers to go with my rugby watching this weekend! I not a big drinker these days, but do enjoy a couple of craft beers!

@Kirwan Keeping 15 players on the field would be helpful

Let's hope that for both sides - and no more injuries (playing further into the bloody Chiefs hands)! 🙂

    Should be a good game.

    Good luck to the Blues.

I'm sick of the Crusaders winning year after year. It boring and bad for this competition so hope to see 2 new teams competing for the winner's medal next WE

To be honest, as a Chiefs supporter I think I’d rather get to a final against the Saders than the Blues (playing style wise)

That was rather lackadaisical by Telea.

    Make that twice.
