He missed 3 shots at goal , That would have been interesting if he nailed those 7 points.
Yeah - he's a 20 year old rookie playing the best team away from home in a playoff game. He also nailed a 3 pointer near halfway.

Just home from this one. Great performance from Queensland. Real nail biter.
Takeaways for me: Chiefs paid the price for playing PGS ahead of Jacobson. Too many costly errors. And Luke was great when he came on subbing the wrong guy. 3 mom contenders from Chiefs. Finau was it for me. Kept turning up with impact all over the park and in many facets of play. Maybe I won't be only one seeing him as best 6 in NZ now. Brodie was back to his huge engine best. Dmacs handling and kicking were fantastic and held the Chiefs together under siege.
Kudos too to ALB for a lot of valuable touches under pressure and to Emoni Narawa and Shaun Stevenson who showed their skillsets. Was good to be able to see who put in the effort off the ball.
Lynagh impressed me at 10 and Wilson played strongly. Best ever union game from Vunivalu too. Campbell caught the ball well but I thought much of his kicking was poor. Reds front row very strong too. -

Look not bagging the dude just mentioning if he had kicked that 7 points maybe the result would have been different.
Well you can't add missed penalties because the game entirely changes if he kicks the penalty (halfway restart etc).

Even conversions IMO. Different scores paint different pictures. A conversion only really tells if time is up or almost up.

How about all the times the Chiefs came within 20 cm of the line, or a bounce of the ball across the line?
The Reds rode their luck all game. Their last try was after being under immense pressure then a delightful 50-22 kick -- which easily could have bounced into the deadball and had a scrum back past halfway. Their first was after PGS let a ball out of scrum with no half. Good on them, they played excellently, but they basically relied on getting close to the line and barging over.
What impressed me about the Chiefs was that they stuck to their guns. They didn't panic and start throwing Hail Marys. They didn't get anxious and start dropping the ball. They didn't try to win it individually.
What bothered me, really, was the scrums. Those scrum penalties were immensely costly.

@Donsteppa this comp is the Crusaders to lose.
If that's true ( I have my doubts because I don't think the Saders are that good this year) it's a pretty sad statement about player depth in NZ and Australia.

Home advantage, best coach in the known universe TM, all your players should be ABs, etc, etc
Would be a massive choke to lose to the Blues.
