@Stargazer They can do whatever they like. I’m not advocating stopping them. I personally think it’s inappropriate and crassly American. Expressions of religious faith are best done in private. What it has to do with a bloody game of rugby I have no idea.

@Machpants This year's Brumbies look weaker than last year's.
So are this years canes

@Mattasaurus Given your missing personal and the incredible weight of possesion and territory against the Landers i actually thought it was a gutsy effort , some really good defensive shifts put in , Jona Nareki and Scott Gregory who cops a bit on this forum was excellent including what turned out to be a try saver ,Harmon, Renton and Hicks i thought were solid and Aaron Smith still looks world class in a struggling team but i will say they needed a point of difference by bringing on Fakatava earlier and replacing Ainsley earlier .
Have no doubt the Blues would have had an eye on next week but in all honesty given the many red zone attacking positions , and when you consider the fire power from 13 out , the lack of basic creativety is alarming .
Love Tom Robinsons energy , his workrate is out the gate not always accurate but he will win his own ball at lineout time and he will compete on opposition ball , if he was playing in any other country i reckon he would be playing International Rugby -
@His-Bobness I guess you don't spend much time among Pasifika people.

What is all this ostentatious praying business after a rugby game? Spare us from this Pentecostalist American BS. Keep it in your churches
I’m in the “they can do as they like” camp but the problem lies with the TV producers seeking it out all the time.
Let them be. -
@Stargazer I grew up with them. With their strong family ties and natural socialist leanings, they’ve always been an easy target for exploitation by Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists and all the other American capitalist hucksters masquerading as religions.

13-6 to Blues in the 32nd minute.
Hope the fuck did that try stand?
Ginge 6 took two players out on dummy run that was so far ahead of the pass it looked like it came from the future

Not sure how they found 6 minutes of highlights in that crap

Our NZ refs are hopeless. They miss so much.

Actually thought that game was really gripping... sure I had a foot in the race, but those scrums were a true two-way battle, and the Landers undoubtedly came with a gameplan, just couldn't get the try at the end. Credit to the coaches and players, I do hope our season ends here, because I will at least go away feeling fairly happy with our last few weeks of the season. Plenty of water to flow under the bridge, but you are left wondering why that didn't come earlier... as for the Blues, not buying the one eye on the finals bullshit. I think on another night, they eventually muscle their way home more comfortably but thought the gameplan was incredibly poor. They lack a Plan B... can't see them getting past the Crusaders in the semis.

He didn't impede any defenders, so it should stand. Not his fault they attempted to tackle a man without the ball.
My peeve about that type of play is when the attackers continue to move forward in front of the ball carrier actively impeding the defence. Refs are blind to it unfortunately.

Thought Christie looked rattled and indecisive tonight.
What the Highlanders would do for a 1st or 2nd 5 that could provide a bit of direction and point of difference. Gilbert and Burns aren’t terrible and Gilbert has shown glimpses, but they are role players and they need at least one those positions to provide some spark.

Harmon was immense again. Without a doubt the best NZ 7 in the comp. The scrum battle was awesome. Whatever Lualala's weaknesses in general play he really is a rock-solid scrummager. De Groot had the test of the season tonight.

De Groot
Speaking of, I know he's still young so still filling out, but man he seems to yo-yo eh. Looked really unfit and chubby with that chin flapping about tonight, but looked to still be going strong deep into the second half.
