Oh you mean the time when I said Ardie was 6 ft 2, when he is infact 6 ft 2. Get over it mate. Or get some glasses.

Stop being but hurt. The Canes are on top. Ardie is playing good rugby. He can improve for sure and I hope the Canes get the job done.

Im not sure what orgasmic means to you mate but you must get off looking at a dead rat if you think my comments are on "orgasmic level". Just defending a player that has been the dominant 7 throughout this years comp. If you can't see that you have rocks in your head.

Peace out!!

Back the truck up......

You said you are 6 ft 2 and he is taller ? I'm struggling to keep up, all this height fluctuation can't be good for his spine especially given how physical Rugby is these days.

I do have glasses ( contacts too which I favour on sunny days so as to wear shades with them, even Dads have images to try and maintain ) so I don't think that's an issue, they do make me look quite smart actually, people often assume I'm some kind of IT whiz when I wear them. Perhaps I've been getting my metric system messed up, if that is the case then I might well be 6 foot 4 which would be nice. Has a real ring to it, full of muscles just like the song too, you should read my fitness thread.....

What does "but hurt" mean ? I can assure you I'm into women, not blokes. Dead rats I'll leave to the cats, no shortage of them on the back section.

Hold the Phone!!

I am 6 ft 2 and he is probably the same height, maybe a touch taller but the way you were going on sounded like he was bordering on the same height as a fetis.

I didn't realise it was a crime to back the players that you thought were worthy of being selected for their country. I back Ardie with a higher passion than other blokes running around the footy field because I was fortunate enough to play against him and along side him a few years ago and though being a few years younger than myself he still comfortably won the game against us and for us single handedly.

He is starting to show that same form in Super Rugby and even though he wasn't as dominant the other night against the Crusaders he has shown that raw potential to be a Super talent (evident against the Highlanders and Waratahs this year) and a key cog in the Canes franchise and All Black rugby moving forward. Il say it now he will be the greatest Canes forward by the end of his career and I hope he can lead us to a few titles.

Right now though I can fully admit that he has his work ons and he is not the full package and will probably never be perfect, however he will certainly be around for a long time and he will only get better as he grows into a more adult frame.

I wish I could say the same about his bro.

It's not a crime at all to back player X over player Y for whatever reason. This place would be nothing if members didn't have their favourites but I think it's the blind assumption that Bones is a Matt Todd loving Cantab ( he's not ) from you merely cos he criticised Saveas game that might have irked some people on here.

I think Savea is pretty special but maybe we're all a bit "kiwi" in that we tend not to go over the top like you sometimes do.

Greatest Canes forward ? given most of the "greats" are/were backs this is definitely possible.

Haha the first 20 minutes the Crusaders didn't touch the ball so my point is invalid. Brilliant.

Imagine if everyone backed players with such blind passion just cos they almost touched them one day.

I have vivid memories of lunchtime games of hold and tackling someone who went on to become a Super 12 champion with the Crusaders ( well, more a case of him tripping over me but he still went down ). Despite me telling everyone who listened how amazing he was he never became an AB. Unbelievable.

You just made me realise I even went to the same school as Ardie. In Christchurch of course. In the 80s.

Don't be ridiculous. Ardie didn't go to school he was genetically constructed from DNA of Michael Jones, Richie McCaw, Pinetree Meads and Stephen Adams ( that's where he gets the height from )

Tough call eh. My memory struggles going back to the nineties. Rodders? Depends how much longer Coles sticks around. I'm surprised he's 29!

With all due respect to some bloody honest campaigners the bar isn't set particularly high. JC deserves a mention. Bull Allen, Norm Hewitt and Filo Tiatia were pretty inspirational for awhile but there's not many others that make ya gasp in awe.

Loads more options in the backs though.

Pretty much have to be Jerry, Rodders or Dane Coles already?

Second line of Hore, Tialata, Thrush, Mulletman.

Probably someone (or several) obvious ones I'm overlooking?

Pickings seem a bit thin. Ardie might already make the all-time Canes eight!

Dane Coles looks set to have a half decent career?

Currently the canes forward with the greatest impact on their success is Smiley Barrett. Specifically his cock and balls.

They're like the reverse Crusaders, who would have Ralph and Hamilton in their greatest 8 backs. 🙂

Hey...we can field World Cup winning All Black Zac Guildford on the wing if we want!

Luckily for our greatest back we can smugly just pick Danny Boy and not think too hard beyond that. :)
