It's been said ad nauseum but our issues stem from the defence. And not just the last 10 minutes of this game.

Realistically, who do we have available that's a good alternative to Mcleod? Fix that and things will look pretty good I reckon.

Ref was fine. BB, honestly where was he all game, he's past it. Whitelock also can't pull 80 minutes. Brodie simply wasn't fit. Why we kept both locks on is beyond me, it was obvious they were gassed. Although some might think that's a choke, I think the gold star goes to England for just putting it out. Pathetic. Who dares wins? Honestly, embarrassing. I'm actually shocked England cut us to bits like that out wide, goes to show we've still got a very long way to go. A draw with England is a loss in my book, but in this day and age I'm sure NZRFU won't see it like that.

Really disappointed that we gave it away. BB, take a long hard look at yourself. That comeback started with you.

Haha come on, your boy Mo'unga missed touch twice from penalties, the second one ended up with England camped on our line when we should have been on theirs. You can't single one player out for that, we looked knackered at the end of a long season and England finished very strong.

Our kick options are terrible. Barely kicked for touch when that's what was required

Agreed we have no one who can kick for territory.

That's not true. Jordie has a big kick. He should be used more.

At 12 he is more of a ball carrier I get that, but BB and Mounga have failed to lead the team around the park all year this was the worse example of that.

We created more than enough in first half to have smashed them. Then our players don’t know how to close - no long kicking game. They need to fix their tactics.

How that clown survived the chop is beyond me. Apparently he didn't review well last year too. I would have gone with Mitchell as soon as he parted ways with England.

The ref wasn't fine. Didn't favour either team, but the calls were so unpredictable both teams suffered.

After 60 minutes I was about to come on and say how that we only scored via cross kicks and intercepts, but at least we were winning.

Then that happened. I hate Foster so much.

Our backs are good enough, but our back line is terrible.

@Crazy-Horse Yep, and one try was given that should have been disallowed, because there was no conclusive evidence of a grounding.

I thought the ref had a very good game, that last penalty against Whitelock for not rolling away was very harsh, though, he rolled pretty quickly. That first try for England was one of these where I thought the ref saying "no try" on field would have been the decider, but them's the breaks. Would have screamed for it to be given if it was an AB dotting that one down.

Disagree re the grounding. I thought an angle showed the ball clearly on the line. They only showed the angle once soon after the try, but the ball definitely touched the line.

Yep. Needed to take him out of the game and did a brilliant job. Then bizarrely just did everything to try and bring England back, mind boggling, but not wholly unexpected.

If it had been the other Sam captaining for the last ten minutes of this game, the Fern would have completely melted down...

It gives me flashbacks of Will Carling carried around Twickenham after another glorious draw against the ABs

Guess it depends on your definition of clear and obvious. Mine is to see the ball clearly on the line, quite obviously. Not "I think that might be a blade of grass coloured white touching the ball".

And so they should. They shouldn’t have got close. That was a fantastic draw for them to come back from so far down.

    Fair dues to them

England were under the pump till the 71st minute, but the ABs should have nailed the coffin long before. There were costly errors when the NZ forwards were destroying their English counterparts : two crooked throws by Taylor and two missed kicks by RM after favorable penalties.

You didn't think the ST crooked throw after a penalty was a bit costly?
