Jordie has been superb at 12 again

Solid rather than spectacular. Which I'm more than happy with. Liked the way he dealt with the midfield changes as well.

He was better than solid, he tackled hard and had a number of very strong carries which got us on the front foot despite limited opportunities. You can see how influential he is when it comes to organisation as well, the last try he scored was all of his making. He's having a huge impact on the game from 12, bigger than what he could at the back.

Don't get me wrong. I'm just happy to have a solid 12 who goes about his business quietly, with minimal brain-farts, doesn't get knocked back in tackles or throws Hail Mary passes. Finally.

That's the biggest thing for me. Was sick of seeing Havili and Mo'unga getting rag dolled and choke tackled backwards over the last two years.

I'd take a solid player at 12 any day after the stinking swamp that has been that position in recent years.

But Victor has been circumspect on Jordie at 12, so he can't break that now...

Cautious rather than circumspect after all the issues and false starts at 12 in recent years. Called for him to start in this game as it was a risk-free no-brainer. Solid works just fine for me right now after a bloody good debut against Oz - means it wasn't a one-off.

Cautious after all those other block busting games from other 12s eh? As understandable as Taylor for motm 😬

What to do with Sam Cane now.......
Not sure Foster has the testicular fortitude to do what needs to be done.

We'll know how good Paps really is after this EOYT. It's a great opportunity to get experience against the likes of England and grab the incumbent slot.

Faletau made 28 tackles for Wales. He was their star man by some distance.

Great to beat Wales. Bob Deans, Dave Gallaher and the 1905 Originals avenged again. Nothing will ever right that wrong but well done Sam Whitelock and his All Blacks for honouring their memory.

I am relieved when we win against Wales, the last time they won was year before I was born so worried if they win I only got a year to live!!

Well that was a storming game by Ardie. Is there anyone better in world rugby?

This game showed exactly why we no longer need the broken Sam Cane, Papali’i was superb aswell. Can a number 6 please stand up.

Into the backs I thought Smith and Jordie were brilliant. Clarke continues to be a bit one dimensional on that left wing, maybe time to try someone else? Maybe we shift Reece to the left..

All in all a successful night out for the ABs, bring on Scotland next week.

Gave away those 23 points with unlucky/dumb/needless penalties. Take your pick. That’s the quietest I’ve ever heard that stadium.

Hitting and clearing rucks was a technical masterclass.

Thought Wales would be up and about but nothing in their trousers.

Good luck to anyone experiencing a Saturday night in Cardiff.

I personally had no problem with how Frizzell or Akira went. People keep moaning about our problems there but apart from the dropped ball from kick off, Frizzell did ok and worked hard, and Akira was busy when he came on and made a good run at the end.

I think if anything, we're well served at 6. Maybe the coaches are starting to get the balance of our side right?

Did Clarke do anything correct tonight??

All I recall were dropped balls and missed tackles? Likely the most ineffective winger we have ever had in a game?

I had that Irish prat on my streaming feed. Wales won that by 300 points until the final whistle and he actually gave some credit to the ABs.

I do now see a lot of merit starting with CT. Wales were just gassed by the 65th and ST carved up for fun. Jordie again at 12 was excellent. DP is a bigger attacking threat than SC. Adv. DP.

Cc doesn't appear to know what the game plan is or is just ineffective implementing it not helped by tits for hands.

AS just looks a better player when he snipes. Has it n his game but doesn't do it enough.

RM looks a lot more assured with JB outside him.

Finally got to see the BF vs France. What a ripper!

Bad game for sure. He's a dangerous weapon but he just looks unsure of his role in the team right now.

    Just watched the game.

    Much better team effort.

Our fwds really did the business. Big improvement on ruck accuracy.

Taylor was pretty good, still prefer Sami... But do like the impact he brings late in the game.

    Both locks were very good.
Liked frizzel and AI tonight, thought AI was noticibly tighter when he came.

    Cane is surplus to requirement

CC was average, still headless chicken on D.
Would love to see ALB start with reiko to wing dropping CC.

    Thought Barnes officiated well.

@Joans-Town-Jones As much as I want Akira to succeed he's just a low energy player. He reminds me of my daughter playing soccer. He waddles around the field. Had to have a measure of fitness in 7's. What happened? He sure has some speed when I'm open space. Never lacks for fitness there. Nothing wrong with what he did but tired. Wonder if his psyche is damage from the dominant dude to riding the pine?

And Frizzell, wasn't running onto the ball so he was less effective. And while Blackadder has a better engine he makes little impression in the tackle. A thousand tackles and the other team is still moving forward.

Yes, @canefan, can a 6 step up and put in a dominant performance.
