@taniwharugby Yeah, a tough assignment. Playing SA after Ireland though, not Argentina.

@akan004 cheers, the schedule on the website makes it appear Argies are first (as it shows home fixtures at top)

Whoever administers the All Blacks’ website can go as well

you know what is fucking me off?
look, i know PR is a thing, and you need to plant your own message
but seriously, the relentless optimism and excuse making is pretty fucking rough to take. Just once, admit we were a bit shit and we have some stuff to work on? Shit even Craig Bellamy will tell you when things aren't going well, and they win like 80% of the games they play.

Also - what kind of message does it send the players when senior players are untouchable?

Seriously - who was the last experienced AB starter who got truly dropped/benched for a period of time?

Frizell and Bridge are probably the closest 2. EDIT I'd add Perenara but he very rarely started anyway.

@KiwiMurph and we wonder why players go overseas, they must look at the AB's and think they have no chance

the real issue is that when the All Black jersey loses its pull, the exodus will be massive. There is big money overseas, and we just can't compete financially. We're already seeing the hollowing out effect - for 2019 the play of Luatua, Vito, Piutau, Faumauina would have plugged the holes in the squad.

Fair play to NZR, the silver lake deal in hindsight looks better and better. Cash in while yuo can

We saw that in 07 as well with an exodus of players too.

Ardie Savea saying in his press conference today that he didn't know that the All Blacks had never lost to Ireland in NZ before Saturday.

    Seriously wtf?

A senior leader in the team and the ABs home record isn't touched upon at all in the leadup to the series?

What the hell is going on with the AB culture?

I look at this interview and I wonder much the same thing. Where's the pride? They talk about it but no one seemed upset to be the player that ruined a legacy in a dog shit performance.

It looks to me that the pendulum has gone too far. Once upon a time there were good men who took ownership and drove high performance within the team environment. Now it seems that's taken for granted rather than delegated based on performance.

"It's like an Origin decider" No fluffybunny. It's much more important than that.

    Just do your best lads

These fluffybunnies are basking in a legacy few of them had anything to do with creating.

Are there any NZ journalists capable of asking difficult questions? Or do they just need some soundbytes to puff out their submissions?

Nobody asked Savea why he felt NZ couldn't hold onto the ball (was it lack of smarts, not staying calm, not being capable) or asked for more detail on what he was talking about when he said "Irish pressure".

Additionally, compare and contrast NZ analysis with some of the Irish rugby media's technical analysis on Twitter...Murray Kinsella, Brett Igoe, Bernard Jackman.

Who do NZ have...John Kirwan. Would be v interesting if Wilson et al could get a ref on the Breakdown to look at some of Ireland's tactics from the weekend. The best compliment you can pay Ireland is that they are playing on the edge of legality at times...something that ppl used to say about NZ.

I mean they brushed off the first ever loss to Argentina. And not a good Argentina either, not a "golden era" Argentina that managed to get up that one time to get one over us before their great players retired. It was a poor Argentinian side that just rolled right over the top of us, probably the darkest day in AB history in my opinion, and Foster and co just brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. That's the kind of culture Foster has created in this team, so shit like that Ardie presser don't really surprise me, I just want Foster fucking gone ASAP before he damages our legacy further.
