Won’t let me post but there’s a tweet from Ollie Ritchie from Newshub saying Aumua has been given a 3 week ban for his hit on Evans.

I'm kind of worried that we rate ourselves (NZ teams) so highly and Aus teams so low.

But I've said that before and results continue to be one sided.

Here you go, along with details of the suspensions for Barrett and Dickson.

Me and you both boo, I not sure the Aussie teams are bad as some of us think, especially Reds and Brumbies.

@Bovidae I guess he will miss the trip to Aus then.

The musical chairs at hooker continues. A good chance for Keruru-Symes to show what he’s made of.

    @Bovidae

    All entered guilty pleas

So Aumua says he did it even if TSF Canes fans say he didn't...

@booboo does it really matter what we think?

As long as the teams and players are preparing as they would any match, then what we think is irrelevant...or are you saying they read TSF and take on board everything we say 😉

Nah. Just don't the way us fans talk down others.

It may be right, but I find it unedifying.

@Canes4life If he shines still won’t get a contract for next year.

Tahs are also much improved on last year. Tahs scored plenty of points last year vs Kiwi teams they just couldn't defend. Their defence this year is much better.

@KiwiMurph agree. I think 3 Aussie teams are well capable of a win or more.

The reds show a clinical desperation that nearly always pulls them through close contests. There is enough strike power in Brumbies and Waratahs too so any NZ team off their best could easily lose to any of those 3.

'Looking forward to it': How Reds plan to stun Hurricanes in Super Round

'Looking forward to it': How Reds plan to stun Hurricanes in Super Round

The Reds have switched gears to prepare for their Super Round clash with the Hurricanes in Melbourne this weekend.

Their defence needs to be a lot better than 2021.

Average score in the SR TT for them was 25-42. They were scoring enough points to be competitive but were very leaky

Reds paying 3.60 head to head

Tab offering an 8.5 point start

I agree Canes should be favourites but those odds seem too far in their favour

I remember last season a few across the ditch were warning NZ fans to not underestimate Aussie sides before the TT comp - the standard had improved, they'd turned a page, it was going to be their year, etc.. etc.. it sounded pretty familiar to another contest (Bledisloe).

In all seriousness, I think the Reds should be better equipped to compete in the physical contest with our NZ sides after their experience last year, Thorn has been saying they've been building to attempt to try & match the physicality of the NZ sides.

The Brumbies have naturally been more successful at competing with NZ teams in recent times due to Laurie Fisher & Dan McKellar, together they are excellent forwards & breakdown coaches with understanding of how to counter our style of play and disrupt our rhythm.

The teams to make the top 8 will be: Blues, Reds, Crusaders, Brumbies, Hurricanes, Chiefs, Waratahs, Highlanders.

As per usual, it depends what Canes team turns up / is selected.

@Duluth so no O’Connor, no Petaia and no Liam Wright. The chance of the Reds winning this one just got a little harder.

Still plenty of strike power in that backline though.

Any news on the Canes lineup yet ?.
It is always intriguing trying to fathom out Hollands selections.
