@dan54 He's big and fast and runs good angles. Loads of potential. There aren't too many of those around. Played well last night. If he can consistently perform at that level though the rest of Super Rugby, he will be of interest to the AB selectors.
Clarke, Ioane, Faingaanuku, Savea, Bridge, ENS, heck probably even Ennor all ahead of him on the left. Have I missed anyone?
Goosen Jordan and Nareki.
Jordan would be on the right and as much as I'd like it to be otherwise, Nareki can't even enter the equation.

@fakatavafuture Seriously hope not he’s one of the canes best outside back he’d make a massive dent.
Agree on this. But Goosen has been around for a while now and haven't progressed beyond super rugby. Hes 26 now (20/10/95) and 27 by year end so a good time for him to make his move. Shame if he does though as hes playing some of his best rugby this year. And Ive always liked him as a player

@bones Yep, sun's out. Happy Easter!
Rayasi had a great game (if he doesn't get national honours soon, I wouldn't blame him for heading to the Top 14), Jordie looked good at 12. Apart from that these Canes look rather mediocre.
Rayasi for higher honours?? You are joking, he had a fairly good game tonight, a shocker last week, I don't see him getting higher honours .
Really rate Rayasi, he was much better than fairly good, the bloke had a top game, yeah, he had a shocker the week before, but any player can have an one-off shocker... J.Barrett had a bit of a howler in this last match dropping plenty of ball & stuffed up an easy try, yet no one else wants to mention it.

@canes4life Yeah, how Goosen slips under everyone's radar is quite amazing. He has been a tidy footballer for a few seasons.
He's definitely good enough to be in the ABs... through the years there are players that should not have been selected for the black jersey & others that should have got the call up, Goosen is certainly in the latter.

@NZbloke Instead of who?
Players have to think for themselves

J.Savea work rate was good again - but he tends to get caught flat-footed in defence too much, happened 2 or 3 times down the flank... he's got to wake up & be more alert by staying on the balls of his feet when needed so he can move quickly in any direction.

right, got back from two weeks in NZ last night, missed the game live as was out getting pretty fucking blind on sat which i think is a fair enough excuse, watched the reply on Stan when i got in
dont have a lot to add that hasn't already been said but wanted to add, dickson red was fair enough, even if he's standing his ground and the player is dropping...he's tucked his arm so basically a shoulder charge, just a bit stupid
