Chiefs vs Crusaders

It will be interesting to see how Robertson counters the Chiefs tactic of keeping the ball away from Jordan and the back three (or at least not giving them time with it).
The Chiefs also exposed the lack of variety in the loosies late in that game. The quick return match is an interesting challenge for Robertson

The turnaround makes it like a test series for the coaches with tactics and counters.

I know it's not deliberate (this draw is a covid contingency, cancelled matches etc) but I like the different pressure this adds for the team that lost the first match
I'm not sure if they still do it, but the Heineken Cup used to have rounds either side of xmas with the same teams playing each other. Which team played at home was all that changed. The return matches had extra story lines and were often more intense. It only sucked if the first game was a blowout

What's Brewis like.
Young. NPC level unless he's improved a lot since the NPC.
I would have signed Sam Matenga instead of him, but Razor likes Cantabs.
Isn't Matenga a tighthead?

Chiefs have the better forward pack, way more dynamic loosies and powerful ball carrying forwards. Saders have the better backline. I cannot wait for this contest, it's gonna be an absolute ripper snorter. The rematch with Chiefs at home and spectators allowed back again... Bloody stoked for this match.

I think the Chiefs forwards will likely dominate once again but the Crusaders backs might see a few more opportunities to strike compared to the previous week. Gonna be another awfully tight match I reckon.
-
Is Sam Matenga related to the other East Coast prop of the late nineties / early noughties?
-
I've said it a few times but Chiefs is the team to beat. Really strong in all areas and I think the most innovative at this stage, you can see the Gats influence in beating rushing defenses.

@stargazer why do I get the feeling that the only reason you were first to respond was because your Bay Alert went off?
Maybe I just answered your question first because I'm the first, or the only, who could be bothered to google the answer.
