@kiwimurph man I hope the guy can stay uninjured (him and Goodhue in fact) he has such huge potential at this and possibly higher.

Concussion being the main worry with Robinson.

I like Segner too, but I think he might be a year away from really contributing.
I'm a Segner sceptic
Hopefully I'm wrong but I've been underwhelmed by what I've seen of him even at NPC level.
He has an interesting back story and I think that's has generated more positive coverage than his play has warranted
I not sure his back story is interesting, big deal he came from Germany, I actually surprised anyone would judge him as a player because of that. I liked the look of him when I saw him as NZ schoolboys captain against Aus a few years back at Ballymore , and thought then I like his play. Very much a flanker in the mould of Sam Cane type, got a terrific workrate, not overly flashy.

I don't rate Segner that Highly,I have seen a fair bit of him playing.
I was more worried about losing Corey Kellow ,stoked we went for him over Segner,If it wasn't for Segner's story I think it would draw less attention to him.I maybe proved wrong but Kellow will make more of an impact on NZ rugby IMO.

Pfffft, people are going way over the top with the Segner criticism. If we signed Kellow and Seger stayed down south, Kellow would be getting more criticism and Segner would be talked about as the far better prospect.
@chchfanatic did a good job in the off season on behalf of Crusaders rugby convincing everyone on here that Segner is an average prospect and Kellow is an AB in waiting when both haven't even played a super rugby game yet, yet Segner has virtually 2 seasons of NPC under his belt as well as being part of a championship winning Ta$man side in 2020.

Its an opinion not criticism.
Don't rate Segner, I rate Kellow I have seen a fair bit of both, so I have an opinion. -
@chris Yeah thats fine, and my opinion is that he's getting written off way too early when he's coming into a team that knows how to produce quality loose forwards.
Its a smart bit of business from the Blues imo who clearly see the potential in him.

yep an you are totally entitled to that opinion.
It is going to be interesting to watch these 2, some more banter between us over this, or I told you so from you or me. -

What I don't get is that if Holland wanted to play Savea in the midfield he should have done it in pre-season.
What the f#ck is the point of pre-season, just a waste of time if the team structure doesn't resemble what's going to happen during the season proper.
Well said. It just shows they don't have any idea.
Making drastic changes to your team after week 1 means whatever plan you have you've already ditched. Are we not thinking ahead? Did they not trust their plan for the season?
It's stranger than that. The Canes backline last week looked very sharp at times. Surely that means that you then work on building that to be most of the time/all of the time rather than change it out.
As Isaid I amlooking forward to seeing Jules at 12 but I am alsonot sure it is needed. Or at least have PUJ at 13Sabra played 12 second half, looked alright
