All Blacks v Ireland, 2021 NH Tour

@act-crusader fucking priceless 😂. I don't care if a Chiefs player has a shit game as I don't take it personally. Y'all Crusaders fans rush to protect your babies when they're criticized. Retallick had a shit game, as did ALB.
-
Ireland were better no qualms
I'm disappointed cos we lost our head. If we had done the simple things right like pass, catch and no hail mary passes we would have been right in it till the end.
This tour maybe a bit long, players look jaded. -

With Jordie’s huge boot we should have prioritised playing in their half rather than clever up and unders in our half.
The real elephant in the room was why didn't the players recognise that and change tactics?

Reiko is not having a good game. Under pressure at 13.
He's barely had the ball
And he’s been getting it at the same time as an Irish defender from a guy running side ways inside him

Players of a known quantity are underperforming, new players don't cut the mustard. That's on the coach. Also, even if that doesn't solve everything, what other option is there?
Foster is the inbred grandson of a once great King. Only there because of what his ancestors did, and even his father wasn't all that great.

Foster is shit shit shit,
Shit player and a shit coach right of the next WC we have no chance in a tight WC tournament under the Fister circus. We've played 3 games this year against 'hard' opposition. By hard, I mean in your face physical teams. Wales could've been, but were badly effected by defections. So 3 games, 1 win. The same style will almost always best the ABs, in the late Hansen/foster era.
They talk the talk about physicality, but can't walk the walk. Foster has still not figured it out after 5 or so years, and he's not going to. I was hoping that we'd see a vintage performance, but Ireland obviously didn't listen to Foster's media interviews.
So another couple of years of being a flat track bully, but no cigar at the world cup. Bring on 2024.

@stargazer had to be something serious.
That’s the problem with Reiko and Havili. They need babysitters. They need experience inside or outside them. That’s on the coaches. If you haven’t made a player into a stand alone test weapon then they shouldn’t be on the field to begin with.

How about we all give credit to a very bloody great performance by the Irish! They were great, that was a bloody great test, and we were beaten by a better team. I obviously am a little disappointed but not going to go into depression!
I think test rugby is alive and well after seeing games like this! -
@berniescorner players definitely looked a little flat in terms of attack.
Oh well, we get another test next week.

Always I read that this sort of thing is the coach's fault , The Silver Fern is no exception.

@nostrildamus Blackadder should have been subbed.
Blackadder was subbed and shouldn't have been. They should have taken Ardie off instead, although Akira didn't offer much in the time he was on the field.
i disagree, Akira did.
-
@stargazer i think you have to make horses for courses selections ,for me Blackadder is better suited against teams like the Boks..Akira may have been a better option against the irish
My biggest disappointment is the lack of development of the props ..Nepo Laulala whilst being adequate at scrumtime time just does ‘nt do it for me around the paddock ..big Karl T i put in the same bracket
Ofa Tu’angafasi has been a massive let down ,has fallen by the wayside .. -

I think test rugby is alive and well after seeing games like this!100% agree, but for the Fern the glass is always half empty - or completely empty in this case - and moaning about ABs players (or the coach) comes first. Ferners aren't good losers and become totally unreasonable. Full credit to Ireland!

You show me a good loser and I see a loser!

Well done, Ireland.
That was one of the best performances I've seen against the ABs and it would have been a bit of a travesty if we had burgled it.
Can all pick out lots of individuals to criticise, but we were outplayed across the park. Some massive first half defence kept us in the game - along with a couple of breakout tries.
Big problem, I think, is that we don't really have the forwards to dominate like we did in 2015. We've pretty much got our best guys on the tour, but they finished second tonight.
The backs fumbled and bungled a fair bit tonight under pressure, but we have enough quality there (except halfback when Smith isn't there).
