Time to lay off Foster guys.
Hart has given the word.

Well lay off of him when he does something to give us reason to, something he hasn't done in his disappointing head coach career so far!

forgot out that. I miss that and hokey pokey and my favorite blackberry.
Jeez, stop it will ya? You're making me both nostalgic and home-sick...

@broughie As for Pap replacing Cane? That seems unlikely (for now). Although I wouldn't mind too much either. Have them both in the squad but the captain is going to be there.
Cane is also very physical on D and at the breakdown - we need as much of that as we can get IMHO.

@chris Eyes were rolling today too over that. Come on!
I actually don't have much of a problem with their not knowing the top team right now.
My big worry is that they don't seem to have an actual plan to figure out their top team.

Jesus wept. The same Hart that inherited a great team from Mains and was responsible for the 99 semifinal?
Who else has booked a seat on this cavalcade of mediocrity?

I'm not endorsing Foster, but I think Hart has a point about the media bandwagon and the ghost of Scott Robinson. Media campaigns for a specific manager almost always end in disaster - just ask Martin Johnson and England.
The real elephant in the room is lack of management and foresight by the NZRFU in succession planning of the coaching team - too many good candidates get lost to NZ way too easily.
-
@victor-meldrew I'd agree with you on both points. The NZ rugby media (who are largely ignorant Muppets in days ending in "y") opt for clickbait and drama. NZR's demonstrated incompetence was obvious in the last coach selection. It seems they aren't communicating sufficiently with the talent we export who believe they've got no chance.

The correct technical term is "fluffybunnies"...
But Foster & the NZRFU don't help themselves either. They need to get on teh front foot and explain their approach (assuming there is one) rather than think the media circus is going to blow over.

@frank Fair call too. Some incredible vitriol in the media. Feel sorry for the coaches having to put up with it.
I disagree, all the successful coaches say how the pressure makes the ABs always strive for the best rather than just be good enough. Hansen often talked about it. Foster dors''t, cos he's not up to standard as a head coach. It's a simple fact, as a head coach his record is awful

Moody to miss RC?
The All Blacks name their Rugby Championship squad on Monday and with 36 players to be carried through, minimal change is expected. Blues prop Ofa Tuungafasi may be in line to return from his knee surgery which could threaten Ethan de Groot or perhaps Tyrel Lomax's place.
