@nepia it’s the way he carries on after he scores a try or the way he gets up in other players faces when they’ve done something he doesn’t like. He’s one of those guys that thinks he’s better than he actually is aswell IMO.
He might be a great bloke off the field but he can come across as a right twat on the field at times.
If you re-read my original post I said this: I don't find him any different to most players.
This was my main point. Lots of our players come across as right twats on the field yet they don't attract the same scorn.
Also, how may of these moments did he have last night? I don't remember him carry on when he scored his try.
The Ioanes and Coles seem the main ones to me and they get a bit of grief for being dicks.
And yet the head rubber in chief Brodie never has a criticism. So some players do get a free pass.
IMO a lot of the criticism the Ioanes get is projection. As was mocked here previously, they make mean faces that upset man babies.
Yeah Brodies one from my list, even Whitelock will engage in it. Taylor has been almost thuggish in the past couple of years. (All players who I would select without a second thought).
Scott Barrett probably has more cards than both Ioanes combined but I guess he doesn't celebrate with too much vigour after scoring a try?
Or drop the ball while in the process of scoring.
Pretty hard to drop a ball when scoring when you're sitting on the sideline after a stupid red card.

I don’t understand why you get so triggered by this.Fair enough if his ability or talent were criticised but that’s certainly not the case. At the end of the day the guy bombed a try during a Bledisloe game because of his showboating. If that doesn’t justify labelling someone a tool then I don’t know what does.

I'm not triggered, just find it weird how much he triggers you for stuff other players do.
Christian Cullen and Jonah Lomu both bombed tries in exactly the same manner - in the same game too. Now, I can't be certain but I'm willing to bet a few quid you didn't hold a grudge against them like you do against Reiko.

And seriously, who gives a shit if someone calls him a tool? You certainly care a hell of a lot for someone who isn’t triggered. Scott Barrett’s a tool too. And BB if he pumps the air before he scores. Fitzy and Zinny could be tools at times. Cullen was a tool with that Benny Hill shit. Sam Cane can be a dirty fucker and a tool. Coles is the biggest tool of the lot. Seriously man, we’re not all out to get your beloved Reiko. Get over it.

The difference in your example above is that Lomu and Cullen didn’t showboat before and after the fact. I’ve lost count of how many times Ioane show boats or stands over someone when he scores a try, acting like a right douchebag. It’s quite funny that a number of Ferners get defensive about it when it’s so blatantly obvious.

Jesus what a disaster of a thread...
Anyway Jordan, DMac and Jacobson got my votes. Luke J best player on the field for me. And the first time in a long while I've had 2 outside backs in my top 3.
I'm mildly concerned that the Wobs get to sharpen their game against France while the ABs are playing some undercooked Pacifika teams though.

Indeed, just cos someone is an AB doesn’t mean some of them aren’t complete dropkicks.

I actually was a Bridge fan as he seemed like a solid player who would turn up in the right place at the right time, score tries and be solid in defense.
That all changed last year, his form in the AB jersey when we were over in Australia was just horrific , offered nothing on attack, hopelessly out of position on defense. He looked genuinely lost out there on the field as soon as he got put under pressure.
It was absolutely bizarre watching him, wasn't up in the line to make a tackle as loose forwards roared down his wing, nor far enough back to field any kicks. Literally in the middle of no-where as the play unfolded around him.
So ever since then I've classed him as a "possum in the headlights" player that may have a great deal of skill, but will just freeze when test match pressure is put on.
I haven't seen anything this year to make me change my mind - I certainly hope he does.
As a aside I do wonder what the score would have been had Sevu Reece been playing on the wing instead of Bridge? Probably 120-0...

I think you mean backline importers.
I see the old sports scholarships are back in fashion after a few years of being idle.

I can't stand that sort of shit either, but to be fair to Reiko, he's toned down a lot of that stuff and it's always seemed to me to be over-exuberance rather than lack of respect.
Akira was a worse twat with his "in yer face" gloating stuff but that seems to have pretty much disappeared and he's a way better player for it.

Quite a few of the Canes boys carry on like douchebags when they score. Laumape often runs up to the crowd thumping his chest and then does a little dance. Just trying to recall you sticking the boot into him over that?
