So off the back of SRA and considering injuries, I'm thinking I'd like to see given a go:
Frizzel
Papalii
JacobsonWith Ioane on the bench maybe. But then again Blackadder and Sanders have really put their hands up and of course there's Robinson...
Thought Jacobson was ace tonight
Certainly plays above his size and I'll bang my drum again - he's the closest thing to "good Read" in NZ rugby.
Heβs white and looks like a possum in interviews?
He's white? I hadn't noticed.

I'd have Akira Ioane as a starter.
He's the incumbent.
Frizzel has to win back the spot by proving himself at international level, not just Super level. How does one prove oneself by not playing? Interesting he's the incumbent on one game, guess Jordie is a shoe in for the wing!
Ioane is the much better bench player.
You're half right.
Ioane is the much better bench player AND starter.
Frizzel has had good Super rugby seasons and consistently failed to take the step up.
Ioane played great in both of his games for the ABs 2 from 2.
Frizzel is the one with something to prove at international level.Hang on, I'm half wrong? Which bit?
You didn't answer the question.

@bones yeah he did, Ioane as better bench player AND better in the starting position.
That's an answer to a question that wasn't asked, reading helps π
I'm still waiting to hear how someone can prove themselves by not playing.

Havili and ALB look a natural pairing but I guess proof is in the pudding.
Worth a run out at least - both Havili and ALB were excellent yesterday (as was Nankerville) , different styles of play and you can see it working well .
Think Foster needs to have ALB nailed down on the team sheet and build the midfield around him. Don't want to him mucked about like last year (or get injured).

Three ways Frizzel gets to prove he's up to at international level.
- Akira's play at international level falls and Frizzel is deemed next in line.
- He is on the bench.
- He plays against the lower ranked teams in matches that don't matter so much.
Frizzel has been in the All Blacks three years.
Athletic - yes
Physically dominant - no.I wonder if you watched Akira in his two starts for the ABs.
He was probably the best forward in both games. -
Sparky's AB squad at the moment:
Props: Karl T, Hodgman, Laulala, Ofa T, De Groot
Hooker: Taylor, Aumua, Eklund.
Locks: Whitelock, Retallick, S Barrett, Vaa'i
Back Row: A.Ioane, Grace, Frizell, Savea, Papalii, Jacobson, Sotutu
HB: A. Smith, Weber, Drummond
FF: Mo'unga, Mckenzie, B. Barrett
Midfield: Havili, ALB, Nankiwell, P. Umaga-Jensen
Back Three: (Assuming Caleb Clarke chooses 7s this year) R. Ioane, Leicester F, Jordan, C. Garden-Bachop, Reece, J. Barrett.

- Yeah I don't think Akira being the god he's made out to be is as sure a thing as us thought.
- Nah I think there's better bench players
- Who are the first tests against again?

Who will be the LH props ? Will Moody be fit ?
I would select a youngster there. Hodgman and Tuinuku'afe were pretty disappointing last year and during the SRA. Ross and De Groot were the best LHP this year, while Norris was very good from the bench. Big Tamaiti Williams should convert to THP where the cupboard is rather bare (Laulala not worldclass, Tu'ungafasi a card magnet, Lomax and Ta'avao not good enough at scrum time). He is still a bit too young but he will be an All Black after the RWC, or maybe sooner. -

Yeah I totally agree, ALB doesn't deserve to be mucked around just because they can't work out their midfield.

Keith Robinson built a career and a legend on his lengthy and frequent absences.

Well yeah but he put Robin Brooke on his arse and was from The Aroha.

Ok not question then, it was the question marks that fooled me.
