All Blacks 2021

@stargazer I got an invite yesterday from a sponsor for a Barbarians game against Samoa that is happening at the end of November at Twickenham. Very strange that the NZRU can't reveal anything much about tests that are set to happen in July, August and September.

@sparky That may have to do with COVID and the resulting uncertainty about fixtures in that window.
The latest info is here: https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/post/559974
The rest of the world has COVID and is making arrangements.

@sparky Who says NZR isn't? Making arrangements and making announcements about the (desired) outcome of those arrangements are entirely different things.
Anyway, wrong thread.
Thought it was odd that I was getting an invite for a Samoa - Barbarians game at the end of November with an exact, date and time when we know so very little about the '15 games' the ABs are possibly playing before that. That's all.
-
Possible becuase the NZ government keeps f***ing about with that they are doing?

A Samoa v Baabaas game is probably all NH based players. Slightly different than arranging international matches.
Seems weird to get pissy about this considering what has been going on in the world.

@crucial That backup was meant to be Fakatava, but then he got injured. I haven't seen any other young player who is of the same level as Fakatava.
Nor have I but would I make TJ a low short term offer in order to have the money to offer Fakatava a long term one plus room to add in A.Nother?
Yep.What's Taufa Funaki doing progression wise? He was one for the future wasn't he?
Only trouble with that Crucial, Fakatave maybe out for year, and apparently if doesn't represent ABs this year he miises window and can't play until 2023. Eligibilty rues or something.

If they are going to be that fluffybunny -ish about the rules, why don't we name him to start a test and send him out there in a knee brace, and get him to stay on the sideline until the opening whistle, then fall over one second into the game, to be replaced by A smith?
-
@stargazer said in All Blacks 2021:
@gt12 Or bring him on in the last minutes of the last game of the year (or organise an easy one against a tier 5 country), replacing a winger, so he can just stand close to the try line and run up and down the field a bit?
We should be working for the NZRFU

if we have to pull some dodgy shit like that then maybe, just maybe, he's a filthy poach

Of course he is. But he's a filthy poach warranting the accusation which we will wear anyway.
-
@mariner4life Not sure how you'd define poaching ...

He's a poach, but less a poach than Shannon the Tongan, and he's a Magpie so he's a good poach.

How good would it be if he left the blonde part of his hair and did the rest of it white, really rub it in the Walrus' face.
